How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood!
This is a question that has been bothering philosphers for exactly 3 minutes and 42 seconds. Please help.

That question is impossible to answer. It depends on the wood available in the general vicinity of the woodchuck and the propensity of said woodchuck for wood chucking. After all, every woodchuck knows that just because you can chuck wood, it doesn't mean that you should.

Ah well i love a good challenge for Sherlock Bones...
Well it would depend on how much would there actually was for the woodchuck to chuck and and of course wether or not the cuck could chuck wood....
EDIT: Oops! i didnt realize hammered must have posted around the same time as me!

I believe the topic was explained best in Carl Jung's treatise on the psyche of woodchucks and their reasoning for wood-chucking activity.
You might also look into Kant's Kategorical Imperative...

The above question is easy to answer:
As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

How about:
If a tree falls in a forest, and noone hears it, does it make a sound? Yes, it makes a sound, but the is no one to prove it, so it didn't.

nope.
sound is just a vibration until it hits your ear when the brain dechpiphers it into a sound!!!

Here's another one: If a tree falls in the forest, and it hits a mime, does anybody care? (Stolen from The Far Side)

Yes! The mime. Unless it was a suicidal mime.

If you actually want the answer to the question, then either one of you could be right. If you consider the definition of sound to be vibrations, then the tree does indeed make a sound. If you consider sound to be the actual perception of those vibrations, then the tree is silent.
All right, now who's up for the "one hand clapping" question?

I saw someone who could clap with one hand on TV. They flapped their arm so their fingers would slap against their palm.

Easy!
First, you need two hands. One to clap and one to receive the clapping. Second...
