Is there any reason to finish Madcap now that I got the missing spellbook?
I played to Chapter II and now it's getting insanely hard. Is there anything special after beating it?

There's Challenge Mode! And from what I've heard it's extremly fun!

You don't need to finish Madcap to get Challenge mode. You get it for finding all the secrets. But I think Madcap mode is super fun (probably not as awesome as Challenge Mode though). It's all about finding good places to camp out and build up huge sums of cash. As you begin to crank up your gem thingies, you'll become extremely powerful.

I remember a fun bonus at the end of Madcap Mode. I'd finish the game!

The key to Madcap is that while your spell and fireball power suffer diminishing returns, your shield gets exponential returns.

Get spell and fireball to ~25, and then focus on shield.

I found it very easy to get money in Chapter 1. Using Smarty Fairy and Armageddon, you can easily get $1200 from Mushy Hollow in less time than it takes for Armageddon to complete.
