If you want to spread the word about Hamumu, put a link to it in your games. Game Maker 6.1 registered has a wonderful feature that allows you to post links.

Because if we promote Hamumu, Jamul will get more money, which means he can make better games. :D
but would jamul want that?

If anything, more money will keep him from NOT making games. In fact, it might actually be able to crank out a couple of gamelets, and maybe a game, a year.

Ducklegion's right. Making games only requires tools(which he has), knowledge(same) and some experience. Which he has.
Great,he was looking.
I like to promote Hamumu as a company that really pays attention to the fans and helps you out immediately and thoroughly and all that stuff. We sure are much better than any "big" company, by a margin so wide you can yell things across it and they echo. Or are we...?
but im wondering why jamul is so interested in his fans promoting him?

WHAT!? Why wouldn't I be!?
umm because he's got games to write and this is a trival matter?
Realises who he just spoke to.OOPS.

There's nothing trivial about getting word of mouth. It is the most important thing to being noticed. I am very glad people are talking about running around promoting my stuff. I'm glad they're excited enough about my stuff enough to do it (imagine somebody said "I want to go around making RTYS posters, because he's the coolest!" - feels good?), and I'm glad for the potential exposure it could generate. There's just no way it could be better than for people to want to go talk up my company of their own accord! I just hope nobody does anything illegal that gets me in trouble, since my name will be the one to find at the crime scene!
However, you have again failed to make sense. I am not running this propaganda campaign. I'm not helping it. I'm not involved in it in any way except to argue with the random ravings that keep appearing in this thread. Of course I have games to write. It is easier to write games when I don't have to spend most of my day at McDonald's flipping burgers. If I get more promotion, I will get more sales, and end up with more money, so I won't have to work at McDonald's.
Did you know that I actually have to spend time marketing my games, in order for people to know they exist? Do you think I could spend less time doing that if other people were doing it for free?
I think I have to go back to my previous unreplied comment: "Can you elaborate on your argument as to how people supporting my company will keep me from making games?" Because I really don't get it!

Ok Maiden japan your in! Welcome!
Can you elaborate on your argument as to how people supporting my company will keep me from making games?
i didt mean that.i meant why isnt anyone rooting for the creation of spispopd 3 instead.
BUT how would a tiny effort like this even work?
Mr.Onion

I have contacts to forums who total almost 600,000 members.
Jamul

These people are doing something more than rooting for SPISPOPD 3 (or whatever their favorite Hamumu idea is) - they're doing something to help make it happen!

We just want Hamumu to be a better known company. The people need to hear about good things!
And what would be the outcome if hamumu gets famous?
