Under the old system, once a post I make slips out of frequent viewing, I can edit it and say something very rude and it's unlikly that anyone wil notice.

I really have no interest in going back and rereading every single thread in TM several times a day, just to verify that nobody has put in something inappropriate. I love the edit lockout.
