How do you play mafia?

I see mafia topics all the time... but how do you play mafia?

One person is the host. The host chooses roles for the players. These roles are usually townies or mafia, and there are a few specialized roles on each side. There are day phases, where players talk and try to find out who is mafia, and one person is usually lynched. Then there are night phases, where players with important roles tell the host what they want to do, and the mafia kill a player. The town wins if they kill all the mafia, and the mafia win if there are as many mafia as townies. Those are the basic rules. Does that help?

I was going to apply Mana in a mafia game, but I changed it out of the fact that I would have rather played Mafia in a haunted mansion!!!! And, the aspects of the original SHFBA didn't really work out.....
