Introduction

You just inherited $12 million from your parents, and are wondering what to do with it. However, the one thing you desire is power. Lots and lots of power. Not to mention that you hate everyone else in your town. So the obvious choice for investment would be organized crime! Fun and profitable!

Luckily enough for you, there are seven syndicates looking for a footing in the city, and you have the money and influence to give them the start. The syndicates each have different goals, and thus have different effectiveness in the town. The more influential the syndicate, the more it costs for you to join them. The seven syndicates are:



Tier 1 (High Influence)

No Such Agency / The Russian Mafiya



Tier 2 (Medium Influence)

The Godmother / Super Mafia Bros. / Supervillains



Tier 3 (Low Influence)

Overkill / Tux Militia



Will you be able to succeed over the other future crimelords? Only time will tell.
It will take all your wits and your knowledge to succeed. Are you up for the challenge?

Now that it is confirmed that there are the full 12 players, completed teams of 2 ONLY can choose colors. All colors other than red and blue are available. Choose a TEAM/GODFATHER NAME, a COLOR and a number from 1-100 for initial draw.

Also, you will need to be able to see GIF/JPEG images to complete this game, since the interface is graphical. If you can see the "Syndicate" graphic on the first page, you can successfully see the graphics.

It's actually not that complicated. 90% of the rules are only used once.

Here's an executive summary:

Values of each syndicate are shown on the board.

You start with:

6 contacts
$12,000,000
On your turn:

Call one of your six contacts.
Send up to 3 recruits to a syndicate.
Get another contact for next turn.
Use a special power (each one can only be used once):
Get 5 instead of 1 contact during (3)
Throw out all contacts, draw 6 before (1)
Send 5 recruits instead of 3 during (2)
Remove 3 recruits at any time
Your recruits during (2) are free During a call:

If it is next to an already-called contact, a syndicate is formed:
Get 1 free recruit as a founder's bonus
If it combines two syndicates and the smallest involved controls less than 11:
A merger occurs
Smaller is disbanded
Pay out 10x to majority power and 5x to minority power
Starting with the merger, each player in turn can:
Keep loyalty in defunct syndicate
Leave syndicate, get value
Trade 2:1 to new syndicate
If it forms an eighth syndicate or tries to merge safe (>10) syndicates, it is unplayable.End of game:

Anyone can call game over if either of the following are true:
One syndicate controls 41 or more
All syndicates on the board control 11 or more
All recruits are paid off, including majority and minority bonuses
Person with most cash wins.That summarizes the really long document into simple bullet points.

And the base for this game is Avalon Hill's Acquire, but it has been modified for game-balancing and the powers, as well as to make it more interesting with 6 players.
