Problem you can't recover from

I was playing SH windowed. I got one of those lovely messages that said the program encountered a fatal error and had to close. This has happened before and I just restarted at the last town or whatever and lost any brains or candles I had collected after that. No big deal. But the second time, I had just bought something from Mr. Klein. After the crash, I could get my candles again but I don't have the item I bought, nor is it available in the shop anymore. Since it's the solar energy thing, which I really need, I'm going to have to start over. Bummer. This sounds confusing to me, so I hope it makes sense to Jamul.

Don't play in windowed mode- Most games around here aren't meant to run in it!

Yes, windowed mode is not supported in any of our games, it's just a debugging feature I leave in. A crash of the game can cause all manner of havoc, and there's really nothing I can do about it. It sounds like some of the game files got saved, and others didn't.
