To show you aren't a lurker, you don't need to post meaningless posts. Just post when you have something to say, not when you have to say something. People will know that you're actually involved in the game. As for Ryu, I think he is overreacting a bit. Suspicious, but at this stage of the game, there isn't all that much evidence against him. Personally, I would advocate a Vote: No Lynch. There's never enough evidence on the first day to find anyone guilty.

While I agree in principle that it would be better to try to kill a bittersweet on the first day, in practice, that very rarely works out. The evidence doesn't really accumulate until someone dies. Of course, killing someone on the first day would provide evidence, but three times out of four, it ends up killing a townie.

The trouble is, I do find this sort of behaviour suspicious:-

Just posting about nothing is not the same as lurking. But it is something that some players have engaged in in the past when they were trying not to look like the mafia that they were.

So can Ufo-Man please take careful note of CheeseLord's posts so far? People will only think you are lurking if you don't post at all, but they may find it suspicious if you post empty posts repeatedly every day. Things like 'Well.... Lets think' that really don't say anything at all.

It's not usually a good idea to give away the names of people with power roles. It makes it much easier for them to be killed off, and doctors can only protect one person per night. If there is more than one power role who has role claimed, there's less of a chance of protecting the right people.

This looks suspicious to me. He instantly dismissed the idea that ElM was Mind Controlled, without even thinking about it, and then he tried to get everyone to vote him. There is a lot to think about today.

Ufo-Man wondered why the doctor didn't protect him; I'm much more interested in why they didn't protect ElMikkino, who had role-claimed as the cop. No offence, Ufo-Man, it's simply that a cop is more valuable to the town than a mason. Or perhaps they tried to, but were thwarted?

I'm not thinking that we have a second role-blocker, but two kills last night and no kill on Night 1 is very interesting. I take CheeseLord's point about a mafia inventor, but I also wonder if we might have a bus-driver among us. If they swapped the Mafia's intended kill for Connor on Night 1 and Connor was under the doctor's protection, it could explain Connor being injured enough to be out of the game yesterday, without actually being killed. And a bus-driver might well have chosen to swap ElMikkino with somebody in the belief that they were protecting the cop, only to wind up swapping him with the person the inventor meant to send their device to. There are an awful lot of coincidences in this, though; and even if there are a lot of roles in this game, this isn't looking too likely an explanation. Possible, but not probable.

It's a lot more likely that the inventor is town, and was hoping to inspect ElMikkino with the device he sent him, by way of checking his role-claim. Not the best move for a townie inventor, who doesn't know what his devices do, but not impossible for a less experienced player. Especially as by that point he would know that his device had not actually killed Connor, but had only knocked him out of the game for a day. (I think we can probably explain the lack of a kill on Night 1 in terms of the doctor's having been successful.)

Or it may be that CheeseLord is right, and that we are facing a Mafia inventor - again, with a successful piece of work by our doctor on Night 1, presumably. But I'm not sure about this, because one of the most suspicious people amongst us at the moment is Ryuinfinity.

At first glance, that makes the Mafia inventor idea seem more likely, given what he said in response to CheeseLord's post.

This makes it look as if Ryu knows exactly what it said on that bubblegum wrapper ('got blown away' would have been the more obvious remark, I would have thought). But then there's this:

This looks like an attempt to lynch a townie simply because he was mind-controlled (when mind-controller is a standard enough role in mafia games), which is pure Mafia in flavour. Except that if there was a Mafia inventor, and Ryu was Mafia, he surely wouldn't have forgotten that his team had killed two townies last night. So I'm thinking that if Ryu is a Mafia, the inventor isn't - and vice versa.

It also seems possible to me that Connor is himself a Mafia, who got blown up by his own device on Night 1. I would suggest that our cop inspect him, but as he's likely to be the GF if that train of thinking has any value, there doesn't seem a great deal of point in doing so. It would be a much better plan to inspect Ryuinfinity, if that hasn't already been done.


Bunnybot5000 has made himself look very suspicious, it's true, as Roland says, especially with this post in the Loonyland Mafia sign-up thread:-

This last gasp is going to be lengthy, but please don't anybody skip it - at least not the townies, because I am absolutely certain that Roland is a bittersweet, and I am asking you to lynch him. And when you’ve done that, lynch CheeseLord, too.
Here’s why:-

I think I was the intended target on Night 1. This was why I was suggesting that the lack of a kill that Night was down to good work by the doctor – hoping to persuade the bittersweets to try again and waste another of their kills. Which only half succeeded, obviously – and with ElMikkino out of the game, so that nobody could be role-blocking me, the only way the bittersweets can have succeeded in killing me is if they have a Hitman (or if the GF has a one-shot Hitman power). It cannot simply be that the Inventor has a one-dose vial of olive poison that he uses himself, because the inventor targeted Wesley last Night.

Now notice who DIDN’T comment on this in the game on Day 3: not Roland, and not CheeseLord, either, both of whom are experienced enough to have seen it. But neither of them wondered how an almost-bullet-proof townie might have been killed when my role clearly says that only Uncle Scam could get me killed, and this by itself is hugely suspicious. Remember: Roland turned up and posted during the Day, so he had ample opportunity to make a comment, or to alter his views in the light of what had happened.

Add to this the fact that Roland knew exactly who to vote for on Day 3, even without seeing what had happened on Night 2 and you ought to be catching a very strong whiff of bittersweet, especially when the ‘evidence’ he marshalled against Connor was so slight. The only reason for wondering at all about Connor as far as I can see is that he was knocked out of the game on Night 1, which made me wonder if he had been hurt whilst trying to kill me, but I now think that highly unlikely. Everything else Roland had to say about him here simply isn’t evidence at all:-

1. ‘He starts pointing the finger at everyone...’
Ryuinfinity and UfoMan is not ‘everyone’ and both had done enough to make anybody suspicious – including Roland, as I recall. Also, Connor made it very clear that he was taking note, and neither voting nor pointing a finger, as Roland himself makes clear in the quotation he used:

Then Roland has the rank audacity to find Connor suspicious for voting BunnyBot5000, when Roland himself was the third person to vote BB5000 and Connor the 5th. And the crowning evil in this is that Roland completely misrepresented what I had been saying in order to give weight to his totally spurious evidence. I didn’t say Connor was on a different team to the Inventor, I was talking about Ryuinfinity:-

Roland doesn’t make that sort of mistake. Neither does he normally make such short posts when he’s a Townie.

If you’re persuaded about Roland, CheeseLord is an easy addition. Firstly, there’s the lack of a comment about my killing, when I would have expected a Townie CheeseLord to want to point out the implications of this. Then there’s the fact that he’s been following Roland around, both with his vote for Ryu on Day 2 and his vote for Connor on Day 3. And finally, there’s this business about liking to follow good logic. There wasn’t any logic to Connor’s lynching, and again, I would have expected a Townie CheeseLord to be saying so.

Whichever side the inventor is on, I’m convinced that the mind-controller is a bittersweet. Forcing ElMikkino to role-claim as the cop is pure evil. It looks like a play that is designed to give two clear benefits to the bittersweets. Firstly, it makes it likely that the doctor will move to protect ElMikkino overnight, leaving Ufo-Man, the unlynchable Mason, exposed to the hit. Secondly, it increases their chances of identifying the cop, who might well have been expected to step forward and object at this point.

It also meant that Roland and CheeseLord (the first, and indeed, only two people to vote Ryuinifinity that Day, one after the other) would have known that ElMikkino would be telling everybody to lynch BunnyBot5000 – which is why I am also suggesting that our cop inspect Ryuinfinity, if he hasn’t done so already. Because I now think that the fact that Roland went after Ryu two days in a row without ever endangering him is highly suspicious, especially given how generally mafia-like Ryu's behaviour has been in this game.

Connor, the town did not kill you. The only one who voted you who had a choice was Blackduck, and you would have been lynched without him. At any rate, I think the mafia was given far too much power, with an inventor and a mind controller. I also think Ryu could have listened to our advice the first few nights, as I think we could have been better with the kills. Otherwise, it was a good game.

You won't be surprised to learn that I entirely agree with CheeseLord: there were way too many killing roles in this game. I also think four mafia and an SK in a fourteen player game is unbalanced, even if you don't make the inventor and the mind-controller mafia - and this isn't corrected by having two role-blockers in the town.
Apart from the nights, which did go on for far too long, I am not happy about two other things in this game. The first is that BunnyBot5000 was declared lynched with only five votes against him when it needed six. Apart from the principle of the thing, one of those 5 votes was mine, and as I told PCR at the time, I was on the point of switching my vote to Ryuinfinity when this happened - yes, I literally had my finger hovering over the 'submit post' button when PCR posted Night.
The second is the little matter of my death, which puzzles me enormously.

NOTE: rtys and lynch are the only things that could kill Mossysox.
Given this remark, and the fact that Rtys and ElMikkino(/Uncle Scam) were both out of the game when it happened, I am completely mystified as to why it took place.

This game was indeed very broken. I knew it ever since Roland told me what the Mafia roles were!!! The Mafia had incredible amounts of power plus they had one extra member. With their freezing and mind control, they had control of the lynch very quickly- They had more than half the votes on the final day of the game!

Also, the lurking, lack of town power, and PCR's decision to add an SK to bother the weak town made this game further broken.

Finally, that Mossy dying thing should have been impossible. I see no reason why she should have died. Not to mention that her role PM was incredibly unclear- It said she was immune to everybody but Uncle Sam, yet the SK can still kill her?

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and PCR should've ended the game as soon as day ended. It took a bunch of people sending PMs over the matter to get it to stop.
