horrible green bats

Any one now how to get rid of these 2 bats, so I can get the candle. Can't get up the narrow hallway close enough to get a shot at them. Also the path of light (until you step on it ) has anyone solved that and how. All this is in the Tomb of Darkness.

I think I used the Earsplitter for that (the hammer from the Tomb of Din). Not sure how to explain about the path - it's about remembering where it's safe to walk, isn't it?

to kill the bats I used sparkthrower. Yo get past the path I used flamebringer to light up the path momentarily.
