How come people cry when they are sad\hurt, or when they are extremely happy\excited?

Crying when hurt, well that's self-explanatory. Crying when really happy also makes you sad, because you never thought you would feel that way. ...It's hard to explain...

Why are some people such (Word Edited Out)?
