Well? Mine's probably Einsteinium. It brings the threat of a nuclear armageddon just that little bit closer...

Heart.

...no, actually, Xenon, because of the name. And maybe Krypton because it can be used to defeat Superman, or so I've heard.

The element of... SURPRISE!

Actually, no. I'm simply not nerdy enough to have a favourite element. :p

The element that used to be Unununium. It's since been given a name, but I like that better. Of course, platinum, gold, and silver are all pretty good too.

Dihydrogen Monoxide. Just because it's funny watching people discuss it.

*snip*o be Unununium. It*snip*
yeah they used to have unununium (element 111) and ununnunium (element 110).

My favorite is probebly Carbon.

Oh, and PCR, Dihydrogen Monoxide is no an element!!!

Actually, it was ununnilium. And yes, carbon is an important one too. And oxygen. I like breathing.

Sodium, because it's fun to drop refridgerator-sized blocks of it in the neighbor's swimming pool.

Potassium is just as fun to do that with.

Gold. Why? It's a well known valuble element. Also a simple name. :p

Radon. Why? Imagine being in a room filled with radioactive gas.

Mr.Onion

Last I checked, Radon was a solid at room temperate. :p

EDIT: Nevermind, Wikipedia proves me wrong.

...no, actually, Xenon, because of the name. And maybe Krypton because it can be used to defeat Superman, or so I've heard.Krypton is a noble gas, like Helium. Kryptonite is the material used to defeat Superman. However, though the name might suggest a Krypton-Oxygen compound, Kryptonite is supposed to be entirely different.

EDIT: My favorite element would probably be Technetium because they can't find any naturally occurring isotopes of it anywhere on earth.

I was going to say H20, because I like swimming.

Then I though about it, and decided O2, because you can't drown in oxygen.

H2O isn't an element, and neither is O2. The question was "What is your favorite element," not "What is your favorite compund."

CheeseLord

O2 is actually considered the elemental form of oxygen. H2O is still not an element, however. I also like Yttrium, if only for the name and the symbol.

That works. Carbon would also be good, if it's in the right form. Also, Al2O3 is good if it has a little chromium in it.

LOL.

I don't really have a favourite element either, but platinum and gold are nice.

Anti-Matter (Yes I know it's not really an element but...) Cause it goes BOOM! and stuff. Also, Hydrogen is my favorite element as it's the lightest element in the known universe.
