View Full Version : I hate nature...

Myeah, so, backstory time.

Today, 3 people told me I lost a lot of weight, so I was in the bathroom to find out if they were telling the truth or if there was a conspiracy going on with everyone I know to make me feel better. Indeed, I lost a bunch of weight! Whee! I never noticed it before, but all that walking helped. However, all that walking may have had an unforeseen consequence..

I had a sudden itch on my head, so I scratched. My fingers felt something and out of the corner of my eye I saw something drop. I looked at it...

A freakin' tic fell out of my hair.

Luckily, I got it before it had the chance to attatch itself, so I got all of it's legs and whatnot. It wasn't inflated, and no blood had been lost. Still, it freaked me out.

And so, I did what any normal person would do when they find a tic in their hair. I took a shower in scalding hot water, because I hear that heat dislodges tics(And I brushed my teeth, because I'm a good boy), shook all my clothing thoroughly(Yes, I know that won't help), shaved nearly all bodily hair except my head-hair, took a shower once more because I realized that I forgot to shake the cloths I was in before putting them back on after the initial showering, and vacuumed my room(Will that really help anything? Probably not, but I had the impulse to do it.) Tommorrow I'm going to get my hair cut. Very short.

Ahh, this reminds me just how much I hate nature. It's going to take SO much more willpower just to go out for a walk now. I wish the lazy citybuilders would build some sidewalks.

Wow, that [stinks]. I don't HATE nature; I just get annoyed by people who are obsessed by preserving every little species. ;) (No offense)

Anyway, shave the ticks!

Tics? Ha! You've obviously never been stung by a wasp.

Seriously, it hurts.

I'd rather be stung by a wasp. It's not the hurting that bothers me(Do Tics even hurt? I thought they just itched..) It's the fact that theres a small bug on you sucking your blood. I think I'm a bit bugaphobic.

Why? :O

BTW, I got bit by several ticks when I was younger, and they were all removed in one piece without problems. Wasn't too bad, imo, at least no reason to hate nature :O

Why? :O

Because they have a tendency to overlook bigger problems and suffering in humanity.

Different people concentrate on different problems. There are a whole lot of simultaneous problems in the world, and you can't have everyone devote all the energy to solving the same single specific problem without allowing the other problems to worsen. What seems the "biggest" or most important problem to you is entirely your own opinion, as there is no unambiguous definition of a "big" problem, so don't accuse them of "overlooking bigger problems".

Right. Same with you (obviously). I should've added "imo" in the above post.

I, on the other hand, love nature.

My Dad called me a tree hugger. I told him there is a lot to be said for hugging trees.

But I don't like being bitten by insects either. Or bears. Or sharks. Or anything, really.

So you, too, hug trees occasionally? :O

I have had 2 ticks actually in me.

Though neither got very far.

As for ON me, I have had alot. Atleast 25, so it's not too many, but to only have two get in, that's pretty good.

I'm more worried about these guys than normal ticks:

(That's in centemeters)

Deer Ticks(or Black-Legged ticks) They are very tiny and carry Lyme Disease.

I have seen about five of these, if you look at lyme disease maps for the United States then you will see that Minnesota(Where I live) has had quite afew reported infections.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about ticks...

Ticks are bad news. But nothing creeps me out more than a spider. Absolutely NOTHING. They're terrible. My fear got even worse when I was helping my dad carry a large black barrel, and I looked up and saw a spider which I know to be poisonous about an inch from my head, and lowering towards my eye. I screamed and threw it at my dad (impulse, not a desire to hurt him). Now I flinch whenever I see a spider. But other than that I'm fine.

I hate ticks. I hate them so bad. My brother got one on him once and it scared the crap out of both of us.

I live with spiders so I get used to them, but they still creep me out. The worst feeling EVER is feeling your face run into a spiderweb-with a live spider still on it.

Doesn't everyone? Actually, I don't physically hug trees, when anyone else is watching anyway. But I like to protect the little baby trees which sprout up like weeds this time of year but so far with very little success.

Do you?:| [that's one eyebrow up, right?]

We should just kill all the reptiles and insects in the world.

Sure, it would lead to the complete destruction of our precious ecosystem and probably the death of the planet, but hey! No more snakes or spiders! :p

I've never heard of anyone around where I live hugging a tree (besides me) -o_-o

I don't think I've ever seen a baby tree sprout up around where I live -o_-o There's big trees here and there with the occasional tiny forest, all of which have been there as long as I can remember, but it doesn't seem like those tiny forests would ever expand. What's sad is that quite the opposite is happening; trees get chopped down now and then, and it seems to me that they never get replaced, and tree population just keeps shrinking. It also seems that everyone in the whole town besides me hates trees and will chop down any tree that could possibly "get in the way". ;_;
I've been known to light random woodland creatures on fire out of sheer boredom or as indirect revenge against hippies. The fur makes them more combustible.
I hope you're not serious, or I may have to do things to you which I don't like to mention.

EDIT:
I hug treehuggers.
Hooray!

The tiny trees look like little weeds. There are a tonne of them in the park behind my house right now but I know they won't survive the next lawn mowing. The closest I ever got to saving some wee trees was them surviving for like two years before a landlord cut them down.

I think we should start a party for people who hate nature.

An Environmentalist party! :D
