While Hammered was busy with work, her upcoming mafia game was sitting there, and people were getting annoyed. Cheeselord forwarded his game to be next, breaking the rules, but meaning well. When Hammered got back, she put Cheeselord's game down the list a few times as punishment. (Imo, I think ignoring it or punishing him would leave some people mad, as I talked about before) After an arguement, Hammered left overseeing mafia, and now it's a community thing.

I'm pretty sure Jamul won't have met himself, unless he has some kind of whizzy time machine. We know he doesn't have one, because he'd finish his games faster. :p

Normally by applying for the job, or being selected to be a moderator by the/an admin - it depends on the forum. In both cases, it's obviously a requirement that you follow the rules at all times and act in an exemplary manner, or at least it should be. If that's not among the criteria an admin uses to choose who's going to be a mod, he's obviously doing something wrong.

Having to read every post and check every link for appropriate-ness doesn't seem very entertaining to me, and you don't get paid for it. Meh. Don't know why some people seem to think being a moderator would be incredibly fun; it's not like you can do whatever you want if you have mod powers, you're still bound to the rules yourself and have to make sure others follow them. You can't "go mad with power" or you'll be banned.
