I haven't played Poke'mon since I was in the second grade. Don't they all kind of get the same after a while since they made so many?

Naw, they spend time to make each one at least a little unique. Plus there's the fact that until post-credits, you don't see more than around 100-200 per game due to the different species being in different regions.

Thats because the show is terrible. I used to watch it when it was good, but it went totally downhill.

No, I still watch the old episodes on tape and like them. so tis not that Im getting older, its that the new shows are getting worse.

Something I notice is that the pokemon that can speak psychically never actually make any sounds with their mouth... like Lucario and Ente

Entei roars, and Lucario grunts every so often.

Well, they're compensating for lack of vocal chords
Also, 4kids syndrome! Learn it!

I liked it up to the point when they left Johto and entered Hoenn. After that, I just didn't like it as much. (Admittingly, the fact that Misty left might also have contributed to my feelings...)
Back on topic, I also like Persian and Meowth. (Both on the show and in the game)

The trading card game was best in the GBC videogame based off a card game based off a videogame which has a sequel that is based of the TV show based off the original videogame. I played it for a little bit as a kid, but trading card games are annoying in that they take all your money.

I'm actually fairly certain that the show was based on the games. The Manga series were based on the show as well as the games.

Some manga are based on the Pokémon anime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_%28anime%29). Some are based on the Pokémon video games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_%28video_games%29). However, some are known to be based on the Pokémon Trading Card Game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Trading_Card_Game).
Drat... the one I saw was based off of nothing...

I have complete certainty that the games came first.

Well, considering wikipedia says that Ash Ketchum was based off of red...I'll just quote wikipedia:
Red does not usually appear in the anime, although he was the basis for the character of Ash Ketchum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ash_Ketchum). Despite this, in the episode Lights, Camerupt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camerupt), Action!, Ash recalls seeing a movie about Red and his Pokémon.
