Can anyone tell me why I can't get this crate to go through the other greenway? I only get smoke. (I'm guessing it's just a bug, but it's rather annoying.)

I just tried it out and found a very interesting bug with that! I will fix it in a patch sometime soon!

In the meantime, if you want crates to teleport properly, make it where they drop into the teleporter instead of sliding sideways. That should work fine. Like if that teleporter were moved down a space into the floor.

It sounds like you have a firewall or something blocking the game's access to the web. That log shows it's not even trying to connect. Check your firewall settings - if you have something like Zonealarm or Norton ... something (Internet Security? Something like that), you may need to tell it to allow this game to connect to the internet. Or it may be the built-in Windows Firewall, which you can find in the Control Panel.

I downloaded the free version and it appears to be working and all, except for the "No levels found!" bit that appears after logging in. Is this the way it is supposed to be, that I can't play anything until I get Creator's pass and either make or download levels? If so, which I don't think it is, it would seem pointless to download the free version. I've checked all my firewalls and have set them to "allow" for Costume Party, but the problem persists.
Another weird thing happens when I click Training: 4 levels appear, all titled 0 or O and made by 24 or 23 or other random numbers. It says "Wins: 26/11" and other ridiculous things too, and when I hit play, a window pops up saying "Download Problem-Level doesn't exist!" Does anyone know what might be the source of this "Downloading Problem" that I have?

Oh that sounds quite interesting and might be very useful information to me! Looks like your computer is connecting in a different way. If you can PM or email me the gamelog.txt it would be quite helpful.

Urgghh... I can't find any firewalls on my computer. The normal, windows firewall is also off.

I'm going to expand the logging with the next version and hopefull get more info on what is happening. In the meantime, consider how you connect to the internet - proxy, local network, something weird about it.

Oh yes, scores and awards only show up if you own the Creator's Pass. Another fine reason!

It says "Download Problem" now, which is weird because it was fine before... and when I click "Get Help", it takes me to the Creator's Pass page! (I've been playing for 1 hour 20 minutes, if there's some kind of time limit (?!?!))

Side Advice: If you think you might want to edit an existing level at some point, but want to create a new one right now, take a screenshot of the existing level for reference later. (I suppose, as long as you didn't delete your level, you could take a screenie whilst playing it, but meh.)

I downloaded the free version and played it.When I played any level my character was constantly jumping.I can't get him to stop no matter what!I need some help!

Either you just need to tap the up arrow key and W once each, or you have a gamepad plugged in that is very badly miscalibrated, or just laying upside down! You can calibrate your gamepad in the Windows Control Panel.

I can't update! It says: Error for opening file for writing: C:\Costume Party\costumeparty.exe.

EDIT: It's OK! I reinstalled it and it works fine!

That error means you didn't exit the game before installing. Make sure you follow the enormous red text on the update page!

the game works fine for me, however the pictures are COMPLETELY messed up...

ex: when youre a wherewolf, youre not a wherewolf in 90% of the levels, you're a yellow box that changes from vampire to witch...

and its really hard to know where enemies are because 90% of the are just a random jumble of pictures... and so are your attacks...

the the only part that isnt messed up is the log-in screen... when i click the see my awards button, a bunch of white squares appear... no awards...

That just means you need to run the OpenGL version, not the regular one. It is in your Windows Start Menu with the game. It's a video driver issue.

I was playing this morning using the first patch. I just opened the game up and applied the second patch. I noticed that I had lost three of my awards: Frank Smash, Rampage, and Telegram. Not a big deal, but I wanted to mention it in case it was a symptom of a larger problem.

Not sure if this is a bug or not. I earned trophies for earning all three vampire achievements and all the three wolfman achievements, but even though I have all three ghost achievements I didn't earn a trophy. In case it makes a difference, I earned all three ghost achievements before I got the notification for the vampire trophy. Assuming that there is a ghost trophy, I should have got it at the same time as the vampire trophy.

That's the route I'm taking. I've got pretty far, though not all the way to the exit.

I did it just trying to rush as quickly up the middlish as possible with the ghost. I died several times, but more often it was the frogs that were murder. Just remember that bats dive at you, so if you get level with them or above, they won't bother you! Unless of course they just bump right into you because you're level.

Okay, really need some help on "Up and Down", where the spiders are. I get you need to use the brick, but it's an incredible pain trying to figure out that area... :!:

You need to zap the second or third spider, when it's below you. It's possible to zap it either at your level (where you'd have to jump up to stand on it), or at one below, depending on your timing. You want it below, same level as what you are standing on. You can easily just try over and over until you get it, since you can just turn it back into a spider.

One thing that annoys me, spikes are way too overpowered. I had four health, I fell into some spikes, and all of it was gone. Same with enemies in big clumps, I take a hit for each deadly thing there and die. Make it so you can only get hit once before you go "invincible", and make sure big clumps doesn't swallow health.

That's exactly how it works. However, Screamers and Scream Queens do 2 points of damage (spikes do 3). Spikes are supposed to be instant death! They're only not in levels which give you 'extra' life (although I'm considering making 5 the default life...).

I have the same problem but my gamepad is new,calibrated and it only keeps jumping on CP.

Make sure you aren't pushing any direction on it when the game starts up, and run the various calibration tests in the Windows Control Panel to make sure it's reading properly, and lastly, try pushing every direction fully once you're in the game. if nothing works, the cleverest trick of all is to unplug it!

It's probably due to the whole update thingy - if it's not there tomorrow, then start worrying. Your yesterday might still be today on the server's timer.
