Bwahaha, since Jamul asked for it... :p

SPACE PACK - Journeying into the final frontier!

Possible ideas:

-UFOs that move side-to-side. They try to fly over you and abduct you with their tractor beam! If they hit you with a tractor beam, you'll rapidly float upwards; You can easily jump out of the beam, though. UFOs are actually useful because the player can purposefully jump in their beams in order to fly upwards, and then leap out when they're at the appropriate height. They will also abduct any Cows they float over... Although I have no idea what Cows do. :p
-Force Fields that act identical to grates, except, like spikes, they damage whatever touches them. They can be deactivated by using a robot costume (or robot enemy) to haxX0r a computer.
-Companion Cubes that are just like Baby Penguins, except you have to drop them into an incinerator or burning fireplace. They must be pushed by Frank or propelled by Santa explosions.

MEDIEVAL/RPG PACK - Stereotypical Tolkein-esque medieval stuff!

-Wizard Costume has two spells; a fireball spell (activated by pressing space) which creates an explosion when the bullet hits, like Santa's presents, and a teleport skill (activated by pressing Up or Down) which teleports the wizard 2 spaces up or 2 spaces down, which replaces jumping. Teleporting has a cooldown, so players can't just infinitely teleport upwards or downwards, but they can get through walls.
-Treasure chests that are worth a ton of points.
-Mimic enemies that pretend to be treasure chests. >: D
-A couple Magic Items, like ''Boots of Propulsion'', ''Helmet of Speed'', or ''Shield of Invulnerability''. Upon picking one up, the player gets a special power, such as double jump height or invulnerability. However, the effect disappears when you change costumes or pick up a new item.
-Evil Necromancer enemies! They summon evil ghosts (which are smaller versions of the ghost that home in on the player). The ghosts don't give any points for being destroyed and automatically disappear after a couple seconds. If a ghost hits, not only does the player take some damage, but they also get a ''curse'' of some sort.
-Trap Door floors. They look like normal wooden platforms; However, after stepping on one, the platform will vibrate for a second and then fall. Sort of like icicles, only activated when something steps on them.
-Rogue costume! Has the vampire stealth power. They don't have an attack; Instead, they ''pickpocket'' enemies. Pickpocketing an enemy gives 50 points. Enemies can't be pickpocketed more than once. Rogues can also open doors without a key.

An upside-down equivalent of a platform: down only.

Didn't Jamul say he already had ideas for the next two packs? what were they?

AtkinsSJ

I'm pretty sure one is Hamumu-themed, but the other could be anything. Well, not anything - it's definitely not a hat, for instance. Or a piece of toast.

Some things I really want:

-Falling Spikes: When the player is under it, it shakes, and falls.
-Bricks: Placed on a different layer, so the player must break it, and the item appears when broken.
-Bulletproof Zone: Any bullets, like the Witch's zap or the Deadly Tree's bullet, will 'break' when they touch this.
-Colorful Switch: Triggers all colored blocks.
-Stopwatch: Stops everything, including particles of bullets/bricks, except the player and the player's bullets for a few seconds when collected.
-Loony Key: Works on all doors.
-Loony Door: Openable with all keys.
-Elevator: Like the Gargoyle, except it moves vertically.

Some things I REALLY want.

Gravity Changers
Bosses
Scrolling levels.

AtkinsSJ

Bosses

Eek. Can you imagine how many levels we'd get with nothing but bosses? *_*

TyTBone
12-01-2008, 01:38 PM
Again, I must say I'd like the possibility to connect levels through doorways, or just make it a single level with "rooms"...

Redbone
12-01-2008, 03:54 PM
more:
-Enemy Proof Zone
-Player Proof Zone
-One Way Teleporters
-Ice Boots: Grab them, and you move normal speed on ice.
-Atomic Object: On the 'Light' layer. It makes the object placed below it be a brigher color. The object will also explode, like a blast brick, when the player is near it, the shockwave things hurting the player, enemies, and hitting Blast/Crumbly Bricks.
-Breakable Crate: On the 'Light' layer. When dropped from any height, whatever object below it on the object layer will come out as the crate breaks.
-Lava
-Gummy Bear: Heals one health, and adds score. Can be stacked like Jawbreakers.
-Light Grue: A grue that travels in light.
-Snail: Slow as a Mummy, but can climb on walls. Right click one to change where it starts. (Floor, wall, etc.)

SpaceManiac

Right click is erase.

Supreme Pack

It should include:

Bigger sized levels.
Bosses (with limits on how much you use them!)
New costumes!
More backgrounds!
Worlds (with bosses at the last level). See Bosses.
Barrels that you can push off an edge.
Boulders (like barrels, only they roll until they fall of an edge!
Blocks that let you walk on walls and ceilings, kinda like the triangle blocks in Super Mario World.
Conveyor belts that move left or right.
White hearts that make you invincible for 5 seconds and when you walk into an enemy, like the stars in Super Mario Bros, althrough they don't bounce.
Stompable versions of the enemies.
Brains that the character can collect.
Specials, like in Dr. Lunatic.
Half-blocks that Santa and Dr. Lunatic can jump.
Spikes that face left and right!
Costumes:

Bouapha: Throws hammers to kill enemies. He also picks up pants to throw hammers faster.
Zombie: Leaps at enemies and can only jump one square. When all brains are collected (if there is any) , you can set him to become:
Zombie X: Just like Zombie, but faster and can jump twice in the air and two squares each jump. Oh, and when it leaps, any ememies within a 2-sqaure radius get petrified for 4 seconds.
Dr. Lunatic: Throws homing electrictity bolts at enemies and can jump 1 1/2 square high. Also picks up pants to throw bolts faster!

Superkid: Can jump four squares high instead of one and can punch enemies and run faster. (Kid with a superhero suit)

Richie Lich: Can float like the ghost, but can shoot short death beams and poisons enemies within a square radius.
Yerfdog: Like The Kid, but bounces when it hits the ground. The farther down it goes, the higher it bounces, like a trampoline!

12-01-2008, 04:32 PM
I think it's been decided that there will only be 3 costumes per pack. The witch also jumps 1 and a half squares. And please explain more what White Hearts do. And there's a 25-tile limit per pack.

15-tile limit, SpaceManiac, not 25-tile limit!

The white hearts will let you become invincible and be avaliable to kill enemies in one shot.

Oh and the reason I gave six is so you can choose which.

Supreme Pack

It should include:

Barrels that you can push off an edge.
Boulders (like barrels, only they roll until they fall of an edge!
Conveyor belts that move left or right.

I really like these couple of ideas. Here's my additions:
Barrels: Combining barrels and boulders. Frank (possibly others) can push them like crates, but they carry on going until they hit something, like snowballs.
Conveyor Belts: Nice idea. Perhaps also there could be switches that change their direction. Could be interesting.

The whole conveyor belt switch thing could open up a whole new world of possibilities for puzzles.

Coolguy
12-02-2008, 02:32 PM
Conveyer belts being able to carry spikes along would be interesting... :p

Also, a door that only opens when all enemies are destroyed, similar to the bat one.

Kerma
12-02-2008, 03:47 PM
Explorer's door: A door that uses a invisble trigger to open.
Also, to yourter, I think jamul said he wants to keep this game simple, so no specials!

Coolguy
12-02-2008, 03:58 PM
You can use color blocks for that, Kerma!

Redbone
12-02-2008, 04:12 PM
Trick or Treating Bag: For __ seconds, candy you collect can be stacked by each other. (Candy Corn + Blue Jawbreaker + Pink Jawbreaker + ...)

Horizontal Moving Block: Acts like a normal silver block, except it moves horizontally. You will die if you get squished between it and another solid object.

Vertical Moving Block: Same as the Horizontal Moving Block, except it moves vertically.

Macho Kid Costume: A faster than the kid, can fight (Like the wolf, but no leaps or dives), and can destroy bricks by smashing into them from the side by running. With more speed, you can jump higher.

Disguise Costume: Same as the kid, but looks like a detective, and can zap things. It will look like anything it zaps. When disguised, enemies will not notice you, but unless you are solid like a brick, you can get hurt bu them.

Coolguy
12-02-2008, 05:31 PM
Alien Costume- He has a melee ''attack''. It doesn't deal damage, but it takes some of the target's DNA so the alien can disguise himself as them. By using this ''attack'', the alien will look like the target for 30 seconds. The effect ends if you replicate a new set of DNA or get hurt. When disguised as a monster, you cannot be harmed by that type of monster... Although other monsters will still be able to hurt you! The same monster can be replicated more than once.

CyberSonic

Maybe a spaceship costume?

WackieWatty
12-03-2008, 01:04 PM
I don't know whether it has already been suggested, but I would like to see blocks that disintergrate/ crumple away after you stand on them. Instead of having triggers removing coloured blocks and such, these would individually disappear when you stood on them, as an extra time restricting method.

12-03-2008, 10:57 PM
we need stockboy as a charecter he could summon a barrel and run people over with it and stuff

cyberclone42
12-04-2008, 12:33 PM
I think a Retro Pack would be nice...
There could be:
Disco costume- Stuns all monsters (not players), and can shoot red bullets otherwise acts like the kid
Spaceship costume- can float like ghost, shoots aliens that can pass thru grates and get items/press switches
Superhero costume- Can jump 7 blocks, can punch, reflects bullets. weakness is Inviso blocks
Freaky Zeke- Monster, has 3 health, does 2 damage on contact and runs away when hurt. Cannot be scared.
Gooey block- When you hit the top by jumping, you stick and cannot move. Get down by pressing down.
Drip- when anyone walks under it, it gushes lava and doe 3 health damage
Turret- Like deadly tree and laser tree, shoots in all diagonal directions.
Conveyor belt- moves anything left/right when pressed
Jetpack- give ghost-jumping power for 20 seconds
Yerfdog- A moving, bouncing trampoline! when stepped on it says "Yerf!"
Slammo- Monster that jumps when it sees you, and if you touch the ground it does 1 heart damage
Hippie Stick Man- The happy stick monster for costume party! Dashes at you when it sees you, and is instant death to anything in it's path. can jump over bullets, and is invincible other than snowballs, spikes, icicles and lit fireplaces.
Shoopy- shoots a big, 1 block high laser across the whole screen when it sees you. kills anything but metal/inviso blocks. Makes a "BLAAAAH!" sound when it fires.
Dragon- The up&down form of the gargoyle
Phone booth- solid block, disappears when touched by Superhero costume
Purple Block/ Purple invisoblock- Changes when Purple Switch/Purple Pressure Pad is pressed
Purple Switch/Purple Pressure pad- activates Purple blocks/ Purple invisoblocks.
Purple door-teleports to other nearest purple door
Purple door 2- disappears when player touches and has purple key
Purple key- opens purple doors
Dance Floor- heals Disco Costume to max and increases time by 10 seconds. only works once.

Thanks AtkinsSJ. Sorry I haven't been posting. On Mondays to Fridays, in the morning, I can't go on the computer. Here's more ideas!

Brown, purple, orange and aqua and grey colored keys, Doors and switches that act like the other colored keys.
Lava: Dissolves you.
Angry Housewife (Enemy, for a pack called Jokes N' Pranks Pack): A joke one, when you come near, she throws a broom at you.

More for the Joke Pack will come!

Redbone
12-05-2008, 03:42 PM
Pitch Black Darkness: Same as the darkness 'items', but it is pitch black and cannot be seen through.
Bright Light: Same as above, except its light, white, and cannot be seen.
Darkness Trigger: A switch that will turn dark 'lights' off, or on, if they are already off.
Light Trigger: Same as above, except it turns all lights off/on.
Light+Darkness Trigger: All darkness in the level will not appear, and the light will disappear, when this is pressed, and vise versa. You can change which light (darkness or brightness) will be off when you start the level by right clicking on the item picker before picking the item.

^These could change the world.

I think Redbone has some good ideas.

- The ability to change to turn lights on and off would be nice.

- Either a plain moving vertical platform or a vertical Gargoyle would be great.

- Something I've said time and time again: either the ability to link levels or to simply create larger levels would be great. [I think the "linker" is better, though.] That way, if you don't want to, you can keep the "tension" of a level going, and avoid "breaking" it by having to search for the next chapter in the saga...something like that [Yes, I'm thinking a Fantasy Pack would be cool.]

- Coolguy's "Moonlight" is, um, cool ;), but I think it should be an item to be picked up [as in a full moon]... (or maybe that's what he had in mind.)

- Eventually, the ability to create custom colored doorways, keys, and passageways [or just giving us more color choices] would be great, so you wouldn't necessarily have to worry about running out and the proximity of colors.

- EDIT: For a second there, I thought the ability to see a sentence or two of text by having hitting a "sign" [which would fall under the "light" category] would be cool, but then I thought about people adding in profanity. Meh.

Since Jamul's working on the Dumb pack, we should come up with ideas for it.

Award to get Bouapha: Destroy 5,000 objects (enemies, blocks, anything. Candy included.)

Kid Mystic: Like the witch. Can fire zap bolts in the air, but not on the ground. Or some other difference like that.

Yerfdog: Like the ghost, he can fly. He can't boo, but he can Yerf, which damages all enemies in an invisible Shockwave that can't move through walls, but is otherwise infinite range. Does little damage. Yerfs also activate targets.

TyTBone

Gotta be honest, I don't think he should be able to fly all the time or, at least, one shouldn't necessarily be able to control his flight easily. [I just think your example is too similar to a ghost.] Maybe he can deflect bullets or attacks back at enemies with his bounciness [if he takes the time to puff up enough, like the vampire hiding]...

As for flying, what about cases of helium that make him fly for limited amount of time? Or, if you hold down the button to make him "blow away", you can turn him 360 degrees, and he'll blow away from whatever you're pointing at... [I know, ricochet like Bouapha's hammers, but meh. ;)]

Coolguy
12-11-2008, 05:44 PM
Maybe Yerfdog can blow enemies and objects by pressing control and a direction (like North Wind). :p Blowing down propels him upwards. He can (sort of) fly this way, although it's a lot harder than a ghost, since he'd have to wait a certain amount of time before blowing again, so if he blows himself at some spikes, he's in trouble!

Other Yerfdog idea: Since he's a balloon, he constantly floats upwards... like the ghost in reverse. He can't control his motion at all when he's far away from a solid object, although he can push off walls if he's touching any. Pressing Control sucks in a nearby object in the direction he's pointing, and if it's an enemy, he can spit it back out as a bullet. He sort of acts like he's in reverse gravity, since he can ''jump'' off ceilings downwards.

TyTBone
12-11-2008, 06:12 PM
Pressing Control sucks in a nearby object in the direction he's pointing, and if it's an enemy, he can spit it back out as a bullet.

I like this idea. [I'm assuming he can hold an item indefinitely in his mouth. :)] One other but less fun idea is that he can't totally suck in objects, but he can pull them towards him from a distance.

EDIT: I was just thinking: a "stone" version of a spider would make more sense than a vertical-moving gargoyle, but either one would be pretty cool.

EDIT2: Kid Mystic idea, apologies to SpiderPumpkin :P [although I don't own KD so this might not make sense]: Kid can shoot flames from his wand, and creatures catch fire, and the smoke that comes out of them - for a limited time - KD can jump up [x] number of spaces up. [Might be too close to the wind, but I don't own Winter.] The more dudes that catch fire, the higher the smoke. Crates should also be flamable. Oh, and I suppose the creatures could automatically dissappear once the fire bolt hits them [like if they were to die on spikes]...

Coolguy

Hey, maybe if Jamul created a 1/2 brick, the HSM's power could be to fall flat [so he can't be seen, other than maybe a tiny strip of light blue] and crawl under it. Certainly not exciting, but it's worth a mention...

Oh, well then of course he'd be able to crawl through vents, since it's only logical he'd be able to do that too...

EDIT: Or maybe something involving the ability to use his slender arms and legs to climb the crevices in brick walls or monkey bars-ish style. [or just create a new kind of brick wall, with obvious slots.]

I recall Jamul specifically saying that the characters would be Bouapha, Yerfdog, and Happy Stick Man. Was that in a Journal or a chat SEKRIT I missed? :)

Happy Sticks traditionally have ridiculous amounts of firepower, so that could be a feature I guess. :p

*not bothering to read through and check if it has been said already*

Definately need shrooms.
Yep.

IMO, Mushies/ Shrooms/ whatever they are really called should be in this next expansion(as they are 1.) In more than one game. 2.) Awesome.)

Obviously, they are slow(like in the other games they are in), and even more obviously they should poot out spores when you get close.

Not sure if you should be able to get poisoned... Probably just take away one or two hearts when you get hit.

You should also be able to stand on their heads.
Actually, you should bounce off them like a trampoline, and when you bounce on them they shoot out spores that hurt enemies.

Hmmmm.... Well, it's more interesting than the mummy.

I like the idea of having a monster that can hurt both the player and other monsters. It could add a lot more puzzles to the game. Also, I like the idea of a moving "trampoline".

Redbone
12-12-2008, 04:11 PM
Falling Water: Water, that will fall if nothing solid holds it from below.

Enemy Attracter: Will act like a player, but it is actually nothing at all, but the monsters see it as a player. Avoids having to have a second kid for an enemy to do something.

Magnet: Faces up. Nothing can jump when one is standing on it.

Loose Block: A silver/grey block that is a few pixels lower than the usual silver/grey blocks. They will fall down when touched by something.

Candle: Acts just like a Candy Corn. (For the dumb pack)

Coolguy
12-12-2008, 04:19 PM
Candles! They each give a small amount of points (like Jawbreakers), but when they're all collected, they give 1,000 more points! Collect all the candles! EDIT: Ninja'd by Redbone. Time-travel thief!

Maybe a Jamulio Crate (I don't know what the real name would be). It would look like one of those super mario blocks; When it gets hit with something that would destroy a brick, it breaks. However, what makes it different from a brick is that it drops a candy corn! (or maybe one of those rainbow jawbreakers or a candle- I'm not sure). So players want to blow all of these up.

Happy Pony enemy! It shoots rainbows and bunnies. I don't know.

Eyeball tree! It shoots four shoots in four directions (up, down, left, right), then shoots four shots on four diagonal directions. Then repeats over and over. ONOS, it's the Christmas Tree and Dead Tree combined into one!

Giftbot enemy! He's like Santa; He leaves gifts along behind him, and they blow up after several seconds or if a player touches one. If Giftbot sees the player, he will follow the player and jump over walls that are 2 tiles high or shorter, and he'll fling his bricks in an arc at the player.

EDIT: And Anti-Kid! He's the same as the kid, but he moves in reverse directions. This can make multiple-kid levels more interesting... Or you can make a level use only the anti-kid just to confuse everybody. >: D

Redbone
12-12-2008, 04:41 PM
Laser: A laser. Instant kill.
^^Vertical and horizontal, and another set of vertical and horizontal that will turn on/off. Then maybe a few more sets that turn on/off depending on the red/blue/green switch.

PurpleKoopa
12-12-2008, 08:09 PM
Cow from Scarecrow: You can safely ride a cow across spikes.

Order Knight enemy: His poleaxe can shove the player into a pit! But he can also push crates with it.

Not sure what else... maybe some stuff from Stockboy?

SpaceManiac

Ninja Kitty costume: Fire rapid fire shurikens, or attack enemies at close range. While he's good at fighting, his real ability is his infinite-wall jump, and fluid aerial controls.

Bombot: Mobile Explosive block, that damages the player as well when explodes. Has random colors, and fire projectiles as well. There thick armor can only be peirced by Ninja kitty or wolfman.

Bonehead costume: Little jumping power, but has a ranged fireball attack that can activate switches, and move through grates. He will fall through any grate he stands on, due to his thinness.

Redbone
12-14-2008, 01:54 PM
Kid Mystic Costume: Fires bullets from his wand. The bullets can hit an item, and if it does, you get it! The bullet can range to 5 blocks away.
Spikey Boots: If Kid Mystic picks it up, he can walk on spikes! For other costumes, it is just decoration.
Ameggoron (Spelling?) Sword: If Kid Mystic picks it up, he holds the sword, and can shoot skulls! The skulls will fly until it hits something, (Will bounce off walls) and it can home on enemies at least two blocks away. Will last for seven seconds. For other costumes, it is just decoration.

PUMPKIN!: Slow as a Mummy, but unlike the mummy, it will be stationary until the player comes close, and it will follow the player! It can be killed in one hit.

Orbiter: On the light layer. It will orbit around the spot it is placed above, shooting bullets that hurt the player. If killed, will make an explosion that will hurt the player and enemies.

Eensy Weensy: Just like a normal spider, except it is faster, and it will swing and try to hit the player.

Boomkin: Like PUMPKIN!, except it is twice as fast, will explode when it is killed or touches the player, and the explosions are the explosions from the Blast Bricks, except they hurt the player and enemies in addition to breaking Blast Bricks and Crumbly Bricks.

Toxic Waste: Just like water, except it hurts the player (Without bouncing him up), and enemies will die when it touches it, except for the fish from the Winter Pack. Penguin can swim in it like water, and Ghost will pass through at normal speed, and will not be harmed.

i thought this would be a pritty cool idea....

PIPES! if u connect them together then u will slide through and pop out the other end but if u jump from a hight u go through it faster and if the end of the tube was facing up u would need to jump into the pipe from high up to get pushed into the air really high :p

someone please say if this is a good idea or not cos im not really sure

Superhero costume- Can jump 7 blocks, can punch, reflects bullets. weakness is Inviso blocks
Freaky Zeke- Monster, has 3 health, does 2 damage on contact and runs away when hurt. Cannot be scared.
Gooey block- When you hit the top by jumping, you stick and cannot move. Get down by pressing down.
Drip- when anyone walks under it, it gushes lava and doe 3 health damage
Turret- Like deadly tree and laser tree, shoots in all diagonal directions.

Good idea

More Joke Pack enemies:

Whoopie: Like a Screamer, but it passes gas when it sees you. The gas goes on until it hits a wall. If you aren't there when the air hits a wall, it starts walking again.

Vertiwhoop: Like a Whoopie, but passes gas not only in it's direction it faces, but up too.

Gasbomb: Like a Whoopie, but fast green air travels fastly in all directions, 4 squares only fast enough for the Ghost to dodge.

Mirror Image: Acts like the kid, but when in range, the mirror image shoots bullets that hurt the kid. If he gets killed, he goes to his starting place, as a regular Kid.

Moaning Lisa: A Scream Queen that looks like Mona Lisa. When she sees you, she makes moans that are bullets. They can take three hearts.

Lonely Lisa: A Moaning Lisa that sighs instead of moaning. And blue skin instead of apricot.

I think that you should be able to choose what doorway goes to where.
I think that there should be walls that block only some things and not others. Maybe you could make it so that the person editing chooses what goes through the wall.
If there's Halloween and winter, why not have packs like Valentine's day and St. Patrick's Day? All the holidays or seasons should have a pack.
Bigger areas would be nice.
There could be invisible bricks, like inviso blocks except that they can be smashed like normal bricks.
There could be light versions of steel blocks.
For St. Patrick's: Gold that gives you points like jawbreakers, except that they fall (gold is heavy). There could also be a Lepricon costume and shamrocks too.

Exit Key: Unlocks the Locked Exits.

For The Dumb Pack!

Blocks
Inviso Brick: Self-explanatory
Golden Gate: Dissapears when all jawbreakers are gone. Use for a must-be-perfect level!
Vent: Players can walk through, but everything else is stopped! I've wanted one since the WP came out.
Radiator: Can jump on when cooled, but you get damaged if not. Activated/deactivated by Gas Mains.
Catapult: Fall 5 or more blocks onto it to propel you left or right until you hit a wall!
Yerf Block: Only Yerfdog can pass through.

Tricks & Treats
Gold Switch: Erases all gold blocks
Hammer Up!: Anyone who dares touch you will suffer! -The Doom Parka
Pants: 2x walking speed. No comment.
Teddy Bear: Finally, the light form of Candy Corn! 100pts per Teddy Bear.
Ultra Costume: Slashes, BOO!s, Headbutts, Zaps, Shoots bats, Explodes, Shoots snowballs, Dashes, Hammers, and does whatever Yerfdog and HS man do, all in one press of Z or Space! Use for tricky puzzles or arenas! Can float and pass through inviso blocks.
Random Costume: Self-Explanatory.
Brains: Candy Corn that floats up and down randomly!
Anti-Grav Patch: Float like the ghost!
Moon-Jump: 2x jump height!

Enemies
Pumpkin: Basically a slightly faster mummy.
Boomkin: An explosive Pumpkin!
Zombie: Basically a screamer, drops a brain when killed.
Scream King: Shoots a string of instant-kill O's when it sees you.
Holy Grue: Can travel in light tiles.
Wacky Wizard: A friendly Scream Queen!
Bonehead: Technically a mummy that shoots bullets occasionally.
Whoopie v2: When shot by Shoopie's lazor, it makes a ladder until it hits a block. Does 1 point of damage when it comes in contact, and moves as fast as a mummy.

Boss-type enemies
Dark Angel: Oh no! Sol Hunt was possessed! Shoots arrows constantly, 2 blocks wide, has 10 health. Only hammers to the head do damage. You get the "Angelic" award by beating it.
The Thing: Acts like the The Thing in DRL. Get the "What's That Thing?" award for beating it.
Dr. Lunatic: Acts like Dr.L in DRL, constantly summons Boneheads and Zombies.

I hope you like my ideas and use at least 1 of them, Jamul! (Please?):)

Pumpkin: Basically a slightly faster mummy.
Boomkin: An explosive Pumpkin!

PUMPKIN!: Slow as a Mummy, but unlike the mummy, it will be stationary until the player comes close, and it will follow the player! It can be killed in one hit.

Boomkin: Like PUMPKIN!, except it is twice as fast, will explode when it is killed or touches the player, and the explosions are the explosions from the Blast Bricks, except they hurt the player and enemies in addition to breaking Blast Bricks and Crumbly Bricks.

Deadweight Crate: A crate that is too heavy for Frank to push. It can break any kind of bricks. It also falls faster, and doesn't bounce off springs. Good for switch puzzles!
Heavy Crate: Frank can only push this half a block every head bonk. It also falls faster, but slower than the Deadweight Crate.
Fragile Crate: Breaks when it falls and hit something stationary and solid.
Liftable Crate: Lean on this and press Z (or space, or whatever you have that key on) to pick it up, and Z again to put it down. You move at half speed when carrying this crate, and cannot jump.
Rolling Crate: When pushed, its wheels will roll until it hits something solid.

Maybe there could be a "factory pack" that includes a bunch of new types of crates and generic blocks, and things like rotating platforms and steam vents.

varkarrus
12-25-2008, 08:12 PM
Agreed.

Robot costume: Can fire horizontal and vertical grapplers that can grab on to walls. He will damage any enemy in his path while grabbing with a drill. He can't jump, but can cross any gap with his grappler.

If his grapple hits broken machinery, then when he collides with it, it gets repaired. Broken machinery come in Red Green and Blue varieties. They work like switches, and only if all of them are fixed do they work.

He is immune to electrical attacks.

Robot Awards:

Helpybot: Fix 100 Broken Machine parts: Reward: Spark Plug
Here I come! Kill 20 enemies with the Drill: Reward: Forcefield
A third one: Reward: Robot statue.

Spark Plug: An electric spike. Dissappears if all the machinery of the same color is destroyed. Robots can still pass by it safetly.

Forcefield: Like a colored block, but can let non-biological objects (crates, ghosts, robots, etc...) through. Grues will break huge holes in them because they are just so powerful.

droid,mummy that shoots
master droid,basically a scream queen

worker, hits you with wrench

how about some bosses
the death bot,A ancient monster that was chained up many years ago.It will try to hit you in many different ways

So, um, the ability to create your own backgrounds would be nice [even if it's tiled, like the others]...
Yes, it would but you can already, by editing the gfx folder.
Maybe a Stockboy costume? He would roll barrels that break when they hit walls and otherwise act just like a snowball, only you can't be hit by them.

More Crates! I am evil.
Burning Crate Top: Any items, beasts, or costumes that touch the top of this is toast.
Burning Crate Sides: Any items, beasts, or costumes that touch the sides of this is toast. But Frank can push this if he has a Super Heart.
Burning Crate Bottom: Any items, beasts, or costumes that touch the bottom of this is toast (Though that's only possible when placed on a platform). This can destroy any bricks below it.
Water Crate: A pushable crate that floats in water.
Inviso-Crate: A pushable crate that is invisible until the player touches it.
Vanish Crate: A crate that is normal (Solid), but when Frank tries to push it, it will disappear, and will no longer be solid and pushable.
Ghost Crate: A see-through crate that you can go through. Frank can push it, and it can be pushed through objects. Neat thing is, if you push it into a wall, you can go through it with the crate!
Hanging Crate: A crate that is hanging on a rope. Head bonk the block that has the rope from above, or head bonk the crate from the top to get it down.
Teleport Proof Crate: A pushable crate that will not teleport when placed on a teleporter.
Frozen Crate: It will slide two blocks when Frank pushes it. It will also slide on ice until it hits something and melts into a normal crate.
Screamer Crate: When the player gets close to it, a screamer will jump out and attack. It will not jump out when you are a vampire, and are in the dark.
Winged Crate: A crate that has wings that will fly upwards when the player is on it. Frank can push it while it's not flying.

Yay for repeated ideas.

An upside-down equivalent of a platform: down only.
Some things I REALLY want.

Gravity Changers

Anyways, more suggestions:
Sticky Block Top: The player walks really slow when standing on this, and cannot jump. Crates can't travel on this, and the enemies are really slow on it too.
Sticky Block Sides: The player can jump off the sides of these. Hold the direction of the block to stick onto it, and press the jump button and the opposite direction to jump off.
Sticky Block Bottom: When something touches it on the bottom, it will take a second to come back down. Pressing jump when stuck in this will delay the time before coming off. Good for jumping and spring levels.

And instead of a Yerfdog costume, why not a Yerfdog obstacle?

Yerfdog: A fun obstacle that anything can stand on. It bounces up and down, each time a random height. Maximum height is 3 blocks.

Whaterthese: A Whoopie that can only live in water.

Whaterthose: A Vertiwhoop that can only live in water.

Throna Lisa: A golden-skinned Moaning Lisa that shoots gold at you.

King Throna: He hovers above you, dropping Lisites.

Moving Platform

Kind of a weird idea. It acts just like the Gargoyle. However, it has a special bonus; If it hits an invisible red block, it turns 90 degrees clockwise. If it hits a blue, it turns 90 degrees counterclockwise. And if it hits green or a wall, it reverses. This is so you can have 'programmable' platforms that follow a specific path, since the player can't see the invisible colored bricks anyways and isn't affected unless the level has switches.

Procrastinator

The opposite of a clock! It's probably upside-down and has its colors inverted, so it can be compared with the normal clock item. Instead of adding time to the time limit, it subtracts time! ONOS!

Lactose-Intollerant Mecha-Kitty (or just Mecha-Kitty for a short name)

Hamumu Classic!
Fires Dangerous Rockets!
Here, Kitty-Kitty!

See-Saw

You get two see-saw pieces (which look like a left lever and a right lever). If a see-saw half is pressed down, the nearest opposite half will be pressed upwards, launching any enemies, objects, or players with it. Things dropping on a see-saw at higher speeds launch stuff higher.

Zoids!

They float on the water's surface, like fallen icicles.

Upside-Down Doors and Side-Ways Doors

Like normal doors, only stuff launched through them gets their direction altered appropriately. For instance, if you fall into a normal Red Door at a high speed, and the closest red door is side-ways, then the kid will fly at high speeds sideways out of that door! This could create some Portal-style puzzles.

Wooden Door

These are like normal doors, with one major change: They're zappable! Yaaaay, Portal!

Gravity Distorter

A button that turns gravity by ninety degrees clockwise. This can be extremely dangerous in certain places...

DUMB PACK:
Mucho Moss: A green moss, that multiplies every few seconds. The player will hurt it on touch, and will kill it as well on touch, invincible or not.
Moss Grand: A Mucho Moss with eyes. It spawns Mucho Moss, and fires bullets. Unlike Mucho Moss, it will need to be killed by an attack.
Moss Rapido: A more yellow Mucho Moss that multiplies more often.

I fully endorse all of these ideas.

I submit this idea for the dumb/future expansion pack: Happy Stick BoneHead
Jumping Height: 2 and 1/3rd blocks
Passive Ability: Due to being a stick and somehow able to move joints with ease despite having no muscles to speak of, The HSB can travel like ghosts through grates and can also fit into very thin places, perhaps a new type of block?
Active Abilties: The ability to kick as BoneHeads do which damages enemies and can break both exploding blocks and Crumbly Blocks, due to Skeletal Arthritis he can only kick quickly for so long and once starting to kick a little bar of possibly red or green would start to appear over it's head and slowly drop if not kicking. While this bar is over your head you cannot kick fast and if you do kick it'll slow down over time until the bar is full then you must wait for the bar to empty to be able to kick again. Due to being a stick and rather hollow the HSB would float upwards if left to own devices. By pressing down You become a Larger object: a larger than average HSB head which due to being heaver can only jump 1 and 1/4th squares and in water can swim normally. It's attack in large head mode is the typical BoneHead bolt.

Skele-TON: Weighs a ton! Jumps up high, and tries to crush the player. It will crush anything that is breakable by Frank, and not solid. Good for Brick Bridges!
Appearing Exit: Appears when there are no more enemies in the level.
Appearing Exit 2: Appears when all kinds of candies are collected in a level.
Low Exit: An exit that is low, the player must be standing on something to exit.
Popping In/Out Spikes: Spikes that pop out from the ground, and back in. Comes upside down too.

End Of World Button: Destroys every single level in the server if the player touches it. >: D

Angled floors: Sloped floors that go at a 45 degree angle. Anything that lands on one rapidly slides downwards. Upward slopes can be used as ramps, it the object sent is going fast enough.

Winged Key: It's like a normal key, except with wings. If the player gets too close, it tries to fly away, so the player has to chase it down! Some colors of winged keys go faster than others.

Redbone

Zombie: A zombie that slowly walks towards the player. If close, the zombie will leap at the player's head, and if successful, the player will be hurt. Good thing it's safe to stand on it's head without it noticing!
Super Zombie: A big zombie with four arms that makes earthquakes. Bricks will break, the player will be stunned if not on the ground, and the shaking ground will send things flying. Only one per level is allowed, and it will only break bricks and shake the ground, and stun the player on the row of blocks that is smashed.

Extra Details for Happy Stick BoneHead;
In big head mode any damage taken will be doubled by ranged attacks and halved for direct attacks, also you can change at will between body and Big Head mode. I thought of this costume by remembering that every hamumu (well, ones that you pay for at least) game has at one happy stick type monster or character in them, so I thought a happy stick skeleton (aka Happy Stick Bonehead) would fit for a costume party costume. if you press down while in midair you don't transform. but if in midair, you can press down and attack to do a generic flying karate kick in a downwards diagonal direction, the direction of which would be determined by what direction you're facing.

Bouapha additive: as he can't swim and always sinks straight away in the other games, maybe in water he sink quickly to the bottom and is entirely dependant on bubbles for oxygen.

New brick type; Falling Wooden Bricks, of two types
First Type: They fall after you are on them for 4 seconds (possibly less)
Second Type: They fall once you are within 1-5 blocks away from them, maybe with cardinal direction sensing, maybe not.

varkarrus

Cheese: Like a trampoline, but won't bounce you back as high as you jumped, which also means you can't gain height with wolfman dive. Also, if you attack it, you will continue falling without stopping. Applying heat will make it drip Molten Cheese Fondue, which hurts to touch.

Moving Spikes: A Gargoyle that hurts to touch. Can be paired with moving platforms.

Cobweb: The player can't jump as high, and won't move as fast. Hitting it with enough speed will destroy it, like a crumbly brick, except a chain reaction will destroy all the Cobwebs in that row. Applying heat also works.

Portal: Works like the portals in Portal, where speed is kept constant.

Monster Bait: Like Candy Corn, except only enemies can pick it up. Will kill the monsters.

Bouapha: Throws hammers. He can pick up Pants to get more powerful hammers (1 pants= hammer can smash crumbly bricks, 2 pants= hammers can smash regular bricks, 3 pants= hammer can smash through bricks and blow up exposive bricks) Dies if he touches water. Jumps 1.5 spaces.
Yerfdog: He can bounce like a trampoline and has a "yerf" attack similar to the Ghosts, also damage done to him is halved. Jumps 2 spaces
Dumb Bubble: While in it, the player can go in water without having to breath. He can also move faster (but needs a couple tiles to build speed) and can float like the ghost. By pressing space, the player will shoot a dumb shot that will temporarily transport the enemy to the Dumb Zone.

Blocks:
Hammer Wall: A red brick that can only be smashed by hammers.
Super-Crumbly Block: Like the crumbly block, but this one will break if stepped on.
Bouapha Statue: A golden statue of Bouapha. It acts like a grate except only Bouapha can go through it.
Costume Zone: This is impassable unless you are wearing a costume.

Treats:
Key of Lunacy: This can be used to open any color door.
Pants of Power: These can be picked up by Bouapha to power up his hammers.
Stopwatch: Like a clock, except instead of adding time it temporarily freezes time.
x3 Bonus: Like the x3 Bonus, except it gives a x3 multiplier.
Dark Heart: A darker shaded heart, this one deals 1 damage if picked up.

Tricks:

Giant Crate: A 2x2 tile crate that cannot be pushed. It also falls slightly faster.
Barrel: Like a crate until Frank pushes it, in which case it acts like a snowball. Floats in water, but doesn't stop rolling.

Happy Pony: They are such annoying! When you face them, Happy Ponies come toward, and stand still while the player faces away. Yes, two ponies or more can go at the same time, and other enemies can go past. He takes one heart.

Note: The Wail is from a SWC gallery picture. The stop sign was from the site, using the time machine and the Happy Pony, you know...

I still say that Dr. Lunatic really should be an enemy, being such an important Hamumu character.

Here are a few possible angles [not the greatest, and maybe too much like a boss, but concepts to consider]:

- He doesn't fight you, but instead runs away if you get too close. [If he
doesn't constantly run away as far as possible, maybe there are some
level puzzles that could involve concentrating on the number of steps
made... something like that.] Or, as soon as he sees you, he starts to
run away as far as possible [wall-wise], and you have to find a way to
corner him/ box him in/ something like that.

- He has a little ship [maybe just flies sideways, this time, idk], and he's
invincible whenever in it [and of course fires pellets], but every so often
he has to recharge at a [EDIT3:] battery pack, and he's
vulnerable
then. [It would be nice, though, if we could see his whole body at
certain points.] This might also work with a Dr. L Super Zombie [minus
the loud roar] and a "brain regenerator"/"brain bin"/you get the idea.

- Or maybe you just have to destory a certain number of designated
minions in a level before he's vulnerable.

- EDIT: Maybe he waddles around [slowly], back and forth, in a much smaller version of the LoonyBot, which fires those yellow laser balls at determinable angles every few seconds. Once the Bot is destroyed, Loony runs away as fast as he can, and keeps running even if he's cornered.

- EDIT2: Much simpler: Dr. L wanders back and forth, either firing those red pellets from some sort of weapon at whoever [he automatically aims every few seconds at [x] degree angles], or rolling bombs back and forth.

I have another Lunatic idea!

-He runs away from you and he activates switches! (Like when he steps on switch, there will be Pumpkin Rain!)
-And if you jump on him/attack on him he dies/teleport out from the level!
-If he gets hit by wall,he jumps 1 tile high!
-Or if we want attacking Dr.Lunatic,he should run away slowly and he could shoot laser beams!

Since it requires the water from the Winter Pack, it should have an award that requires Winter Pack and the Dumb Pack.

Scary Bat: I've got a bunch of ideas for this one so:
-Sits in place, until the player jumps on it. Once on, it will fly upwards for a while, then go back down.
-Acts like a Busy Bat, except with the ability to ride it.
-Hangs upside down, and dives at the player when you get near, comes back up to a ceiling, and hangs again.

Winged Platform: A platform that moves like a gargoyle, except it swoops up and down, and cannot be zapped.

Scary Mask: An item, that when picked up, enemies will avoid the player. Same effect as the ghost's boo, but lasts for a longer time.

Shadow Player: When the player picks it up, a transparent version of the player will appear. This transparent 'shadow' has a normal player's abilities, except he can go through many things unsuspected (Bricks, enemies, doors, grates, etc.), but cannot pick up items. The effect lasts for a few seconds before the shadow dissappears. The effect will also be cancelled if the non-shadow player gets hurt.

Evil Clone: Runs around and throws hammers. It's an enemy! (From SWC)

How about some kind of control-reverser? Either as a separate Kid who always moves the opposite direction to your key-presses, or a tile that switches direction. Only switches left to right, to keep it manageable. Might be interesting for some of these multiple-kids levels.

Coolguy

Time Machine- Possibly requiring a spark. If the player steps in it, the level is reset to how it was at the beginning, except 1) The kid from the future is brought back (along with any costumes he is wearing), 2) lives and points are not reset, and 3) the time machine is not remade (it vanishes after use to prevent score exploits by using the machine over and over). This is so fun time-travel levels can be made.

Maybe the kid has to press down 2 pressure pads to open the exit, but there's nothing to hold down the other switch? The only hope is to power the Time Machine and then use it to send a kid from the future back to the past in order to step on both pads!

Ray Gun: A ray gun that can only be picked up by The Kid, without a costume. It has ten shots, and the bullets can do two damage to enemies, break any kind of brick, and collect items for the player.

Buddy Bunny: Basically acts like a gargoyle, but can fall, get hurt by enemies and bullets, and die.

Bunny Exit: Like a normal exit, except it can only be entered by the bunny, gives 100 points when the bunny escapes, and if placed, all bunnies must exit before the player can beat the level.

You need to get all of them in a level, except, they can be crushed by falling objects. If crushed, you lose.

Also, maybe corpses. If a brain touches a corpse, it becomes a zombie. You have to kill the zombie to get the brain back.

Grabby Gnome: It will grab only the first item it comes into contact with, triggers triggers and pressure pads and attacks you with its cute little spear when one block or closer away. When killed, it drops the item it took on the space it got killed. If it gets killed by a spike, the item appears next to the spike. Sleeping Gargoyle. They will sleep on a rooftop somewhere, and you have to bump them with something (switch and wire?) to get them off. Dropping a brick on them won't wake them, but pushing one into them (or just using Frank on them in the first place) will.

Ramps would be good. Put in ramps, Jamul!

Earsplitter: A hammer that sits still, and can be pushed. Bouapha can pick it up and throw it (just once, and it lands where it's thrown). If it collides with a spark, it creates an Earsplitter shockwave that activates switches, and sticks pressure pads in the off position.

Sparkthrower: Like above, except it creates Battery Sparks after one charge, and fires 3, up, left, and right.

Flamebringer: Fires a flame that destroys blocks

Planetsmasher: Creates a black hole that sucks in nearby objects and destroys them. Will autosmash and brick in range.

Lightreaver: Becomes a blue energy block that the player can use as a trampoline, temporarily.

Bonecrusher: Creates a skeleton kid on top of it. The skeleton kid will move with the player. After one hit, is destroyed without a gameover. Pressing space will destroy the Skeleton Kid. There is a limit of 3 Skeleton Kids. Also, Skeleton Kids can open doors without keys (skeleton key)

A CP idea that was too good to exist in pre-existing threads. Here it goes:

~Mythology Pack~

*Costumes based on mythological figures/gods (Zeus makes a fine example)
*Mythological creatures as enemies (minotaurs, etc.)
*New environmental tiles (slopes, anything that fits the mythological theme of this pack)
*New traps/objects (stone pillars that shoot arrows if in the line of fire, etc.)
*New elements (Fire: burns flammable objects, Secondary items: Picked up and used for specific purposes and a small box in the HUD displaying said item, etc.)

Those who like this idea can add more to this and those who don't can make random posts about absolutely nothing.

@Coolguy: The Mythology Pack has nothing to do with ancient civilizations nor would it have an Indiana Jones theme. It's modeled after elements of general mythology (you know, creatures, relics, locations, and what not), ranging from the standard Greek and Norse myths, to more obscure myths from the Celtic and Egyptian civilizations.

As for more on the Mythology Pack:

*Ankh Door: A door with the ankh symbol on it. Requires you to collect all of the Books of Thoth to open it. If all books are destroyed before even one is collected, it can't be opened.

*Book of Thoth: A collectable item that grants 10 points (double for the next book gotten within the next 5 seconds and so forth, up to 320 points) and allows the opening of the Ankh Door (provided all the books needed to open it are collected). It's a flammable object so fire will destroy it. If a book is in water, it's worth half as much points.

*Phoenix: This mythological firebird brings the concept of fire and flammable objects to the table. When it spots you, it'll dive bomb into (at the cost of its life) for 2 hearts of damage (yep, it's THAT painful). It also shoots fireballs forward (when you're far away) and downward (when you're below it or when it hasn't spotted you yet). What makes this enemy unique amongst the others is the fact that can be reborn from its ashes when slain (unless they fall through water, which, in that case, the ashes go poof). The phoenix can be permanently defeated only when you trick it to dive bomb into the water. Explosions (including Santa's explosive presents) make it twice as powerful for a while.

I've got more ideas to expand on the mythology pack idea on the way.

I'm back with more on the mythology pack, and by the way, it won't be that confusing to have elements from various mythologies existing in one pack.

*Slopes: I mentioned this when I first brought up the idea for this expansion, but here it goes anyway. Slopes are not in a class of their own. Instead, you have to place a floor tile, then place the slope tile over it to make your slope, and there's four possible directions for the slope to be in. Visually speaking, think half a full tile missing a diagonal half. Kinda adds a whole new dimension to the physics of the game.

*Genie Lamp: A magical lamp that can summon a genie (visual resemblance to Dr. Lunatic Djinnis). Unlike the pumpkin patch, it can only summon one genie and the genie itself doesn't move away from the lamp. It takes five hits to destroy the lamp, but the genie's presence prevents the lamp from taking damage. The only threat it can pose is temporarily reversing the controls using a black magic curse, but the genie requires a mere one to be destroyed. In that case, you have until the next 10 seconds to hit the lamp before it reappears. When defeated, it drops a random collectable (or a prescripted one, random collectable cannot be Book of Thoth).

Rock Golem: Yet another infamous creature from mythology, this fierce enemy takes a whopping 25 hits to go down. The big reward is 1000 points, that is, if you can defeat it within a minute, otherwise it's worth 100 points. Its attacks involve the standard melee punch and the stone spike attack from LL2.

Wooden Bridge: Not exactly a mythological element, but it's still a fine element for puzzles. The catch is that while for the most part, the bridge allows safe passage, you can have some parts of it to have weak support so that whoever walks into the weak spot will fall right down into whatever trap or puzzle you want it to (this goes for both the player and ground enemies). Since the concept of flammability is also applied, the entire thing goes poof if fire touches even a small part of the bridge.

<Crazy happy fun fun times pack> (Or something equally insane)

Costumes
Banana Costume: You are a banana. Throw banana's at enemy's to attack them. Drop banana bombs on the ground, and enemy's will slip on them.
Crayon: You are a crayon. You can draw Lines to keep enemy's from getting to you. It also allows you to create stairs and such. You have a limited amount of wax, and must find crayon boxes to fill it up.

Enemys:
Floating inanimate objects:
Comes in three flavors! Coffee Cup, Knife, and Stapler!
They float on a set path made by the levels creator. They take a few hits to break.
Scribbles:
The crayons worst enemy. They do limited damage to any other costume, but they take HALF of the health of the crayon. Ouch!
Unicorns:
They rush at you, and spike you, knocking you back. The deal alot of damage. They come in 3 colors: Pink, Purple, And Blue.
Pegasus: They look like unicorns, but with wings. They drop fairy bombers on you.
Fairy Bombers:
They are sort of like bats or something. They hang on the cieling, till you come around, then drop on you and explode on collision with something. Using your crayon powers you can deflect them. If they hit a banana bomb, it creates a bigger explosion. Useful for certain puzzles.
YEEEEAH.
Ill tell more about it later.

Come up with 6 ideas for packs!

I like the mythology pack, but mainly because of the Rock Golemn
Others:

Sci-Fi pack: Requires the Dumb Pack to play, has a lot more stuff involving wires, and some new monsters and costumes too! (Duh!)

Robot Costume: The robot can create sparks that go into wires, as well as damage enemies
Lava: Burns on touch! Like spikes, but can be stood on
Spiked Block: Like the normal block, but hurts to touch. Frank can headbutt it if he's invinicble. But he can't otherwise.

Mythology Pack: Sterotypical beasts from mythology! As well as Traps and the like!

Boulders: Like the Snowball, except larger, and can break the bricks and activate explosives
Ruins block: More decoration! Becomes a different tile depending on it's neighbors (like the Wires)
Spike Trap: Activates after the player steps on it. If you have the Dumb Pack, you can also activate them with Wires.

Police Costume : Can use gun to shoot objects and enemies!

Goo Costume : It can't jumo well, but it can move while ducking!

Fireman Costume : Can shoot water that increases height?!/weight?! of WATER object in game! Can also water an fire!

Spaceman Costume : Has jetpack what needs fuel! Can't jump! It has low gravity! It can fly with jetpack, but if there is no fuel left, then, you know! Can be in water without losing AIR!

LOL!" happens, it says "Swish swash!" and the screen and music are normal again. But if you get touched again, the time resets. Don't place them in pairs!

Sideways spiders- They are like normal spiders but go left and right instead of up and down. There are 2 types. The first's web comes from the right and the second's from the left.

Black hole- Sucks in everything movable near it. When something goes in, it disappears. If it sucks 5 things, it becomes filled and stops working

Gun- Can be carried by any costume. Doesn't change the costume's sprite at all. it gives you the opportunity to shot 5 bullets. You can change their direction the same way you change the direction of bouapha's hammers

Car costume- It can run over enemies, it goes really fast and can only jump 2-3 pixels like santa. Press Space/X to exit

Bad door- Doesn't need Candy collected to open. If even one player enters it, you win the level and get 0 points. Good for designing really annoying levels.

I suspect a St. Patricks Day Pack. :D

Cannon: Although on the light layer, still solid. You must place it on top of an object for it to fire that one object.
Tightrope: A tightrope. Keep mashing the jump button to gain balance when you start to fall.
Hand: A hand that is open and facing down. When the player goes under, it slams down onto the ground.
Skull: A crate that enemies can push.
Time Machine: Makes dead enemies come back to life, collected items to reappear (Without losing it), brings crates back to their starting position, and broken Bricks reform.
Space: On the light layer. When placed on a block, that block becomes transparent and fake. If placed on nothing, it makes the background behind it be transparent to a black background.

We could use the unused WP tiles!

varkarrus
03-07-2009, 05:56 PM
Xeno: Moves backwards and forwards. If they come to an edge, they will fall or turn around based on which direction the player is. If it's a wall, they will either turn around or climb it. If they die, they explode. Also, if they are on the exact location of a wire when it fires sparks, that also kills them.

Xeno Egg: If the player comes close to it, or it receives electricity, it releases a Xeno.

Spaceship: Constantly moves towards the player at the same speed as the player (It can't move faster than the penguin while flying though). The player can stand on it, and jump. It doesn't move vertically. There could be puzzles where a player has to trap a spaceship so they can get to the area below it.

Costume Blocks: There's one for every costume. They must all be broken for the exit to open.

Wolf Block: Wolfman and enemies breaks them upon contact.
Witch Block: The Witch breaks them upon contact. These blocks also fall. If they fall more than 5 tiles, they also break (only if the player is a Witch). Witch zaps still affect them like any normal block. Witch also can't be crushed by falling Witch Blocks.
Frank Block: Frank doesn't break them upon contact, but can smash through them with headbutts.
Ghost Block: Ghost can break them, as well as scared enemies.
Kid Block: Broken by the kid upon contact. No second effect.
Vampy Block: Fall like the Witch Block. They don't break upon falling. They can only be broken by Vampy while they're in darkness.
Penguin Block: Can be broken by the penguin. They fall like the Witch Block, and break upon contact with water if the player is a penguin (they float otherwise).
Santa Block: Broken by Santa and Explosions. All of the ones in between the start and end of a chimney break whenever Santa goes through them.
Snowman Block: They break upon contact with the Snowman or his snowballs, but remain as Ice blocks.
Bouapha Block: Bouapha can break them with his hammers, or upon contact. Electricity causes them to blow up if the player is Bouapha.
Yerfblock: They break if the end up on spikes (only if the player is Yerfdog). However, they float! This means that Yerfdog may have to use them as platforms.
Happy Stick Block: Happy stick blocks break 3 seconds after HSM wall jumps or ceiling lurks on them.

Lava: Like water, but with more viscosity, and it damages. However, the player kinda floats on it. Another side effect is that it sets the player on fire, which can cause him to set off explosives, and damage enemies without being hurt by them. If he touches the top layer (or has a bonus life or golden heart), he gets set on fire without getting hurt.

Tank: If the player jumps in this, he can control it. It runs out of fuel after a while, kicking the player out.

Costume-Eater: An enemie that eats the Kid, and spits him out with no costume! Killing him will make him drop the last costume he had. After being spit out, the Costum-Eater has no interest in the Kid. Does no damage.

Chaser: An enemie that moves at exactly the same speed as the player! If the player stops, this enemie doesn't move. If the player falls, the enemie pursues until the Player hits the ground. The enemie will take the most direct route through everything, but isn't smart enough to know about buttons etc...

Redbone
03-07-2009, 06:44 PM
Secret Star: A star that appears when all Candy Canes and Candy Corn have been collected. It exits the level when collected, with the time bonus, plus 300 more points! This will not be able to be placed if there is no exit in the level.
Bumper: A screamer that runs towards the player, and bumps into things and pushes them back, as long as they are not solid. They can push crates, too.
Chained Screamer: A Screamer that is chained to a block.

Bubble: It will float in position, and when the player gets in, they can float off where ever they want. Enemies can get in and float upwards, and stay up there.
Anti-Bubble: Pops the Bubble on touch.
Cage: When something gets in, they get stuck, and the cage will close and act like a solid object. If all kids in the level get caged, you lose the level.
Cage Key: Unlocks a cage and empties it's contents.
Mirror: Makes the level brighter, and flips it horizontally. It will not work if there is something solid on the other side of the level.
Screamer Disguise: Turns the player into a Screamer, but can still collect costumes, but they will still be a Screamer. All enemies will not be aware, but they can still hurt you. The jump button is replaced by a dash because Screamers can't jump. You can get out of the disguise by hitting a No Costume Zone.

A few ideas:

*Human enemies: The stuff available is neat, but it would be nice to see some more "human" foes in the way. Certain enemies of this type might actually lower your score, thus forcing level makers to be a little more cautious on level making.

*Otaku Pack: A CP expansion modeled after elements of otaku culture. Includes such things as Shinigami (human death deity), Magic Gunner (slick dude with magical guns), among other things. Also contains a vehicle card that bestow a ridable vehicle depending on the costume (Bouapha=Red Rocket, Witch=Broom, etc.)

sonicchaos1993

Elements Pack:
Costumes:
Fish Costume: The fish costume can swim freely in water and is faster than the Penguin when swimming. Being a small fish, the Player can use it to pass grates. The fish has an oxygen meter when out of water. When out of water, it jumps 1 tile and moves much slower.

Dragon Costume: The dragon costume gives the player 2 jumps, each 2 tiles high. He moves fast in the air but slow on the ground. He can breathe fire by pressing space. He can't breath fire underwater.

Eagle Costume: The bird costume has unlimited jumps, each 1 tile high. It can divebomb nearby enemies using Space and isn't affected by wind.

Blocks:
Wood Block: This block is solid but can be affected by Witch zaps. If fire touches it, it is destroyed.

Fire Block: This block is like a brick. If destroyed, it sets fire to the block below it. If fire touches an Ice block, the ice block turns into a Steel block.

Cloud: A cloud is like a platform. However, the eagle can go through them in any direction.

Waterfall: Like a grate. However, only the fish or penguin can go through it.

Light:
Lava: Like water, only the player loses 2 hearts when hurt instead of 1. The penguin and fish have a normal meter and lose 1 heart every once in a while. The dragon can go through this without being damaged.

Grass: Grass partally hides whatever is behind it. (Like a fake brick)

Ice Water: Like water, only the player loses 2 hearts when hurt instead of 1. The fish has a normal meter and loses 1 heart every once in a while. The Penguin and Snowman can go through this without being damaged.

Thunderhead: A dark gray cloud. It produces electricity if wires are near it and damages the bird if it touches it.

Costume-Only Zone: Looks like a Costume-Free Zone but with blue stripes instead of red. If the player doesn't have a costume on, they take damage if they touch it.

Treats:
Berry: These will stay still even in the air. If shot, they fall to the ground. They are needed to win the level and cannot be destroyed. Worth 75 points.

Lifeberry: This berry restores 1 heart if picked up and are worth 0 points.

Lifeberry Bush: This bush throws a lifeberry in a random directon every second for 3 seconds.

Tricks:
Coiled Vine: Like a spring, but it wilts and dies after you bounce on it.

Berry Net: A berry or candy corn will stop when they touch this, but anything else will fall through.

Not-So-Stable Tree: A tree that is slightly slanted to the left. If a player or enemy comes near it, it falls in that direction, killing whatever is there. It will also fall if hit by a bullet.

Not-So Stable Tree: Like the other NSS Tree, but falls to right and is slightly slanted to the right.

Beasts:
Vulture: This enemy will peck you if you come too close, dealing 1 damage. You can ride on its back without taking damage, however. Can be killed, but only from underneath.

Hunters: The Kid can walk right by these without anything happening, but if he picks up a costume, the hunters will think he is a monster and will chase and attack him. They can jump 1 tile.

Light Grue: A grue with blue eyes. It can only move in the light.

Lightless Grue: A grue with green eyes. It cannot move in light or shadow.

Walljumper: A shadowy creature that can move only in walls. If the player touches the wall it is on, it jumps out, deals damage, and returns to the wall. It can be killed as it goes through grates.

Walking Gernade: This is harmless. If it touches a fire block, it blows up and ignites the fire. The explosion deals 2 damage.

double-post and bump! huzza!

although there's already a dumb-pack, there could be an expansion to the expansion , a few things i was thinking would be fun to have from the Hamumu Universe are:

Digger Bodhza:
walks around like a bodzha, but burrows underground if threatened, when he emerges (underneath you of course) as well as taking damage you could fly up high in the air!

Dr.L costume:
a very basic costume, with a very basic short-range attack, nothing special at all, but when he has one health yet, he goes into Super-duper-zombie mode (like a beserk rage), jumping higher, doing 2x damage, summoning boulders to fall on opponents, just like in SWC! once his beserk rage is over, he cant go into it again, the lenght of the rage can be lengthened by collecting brains

Your Bad side:
spawns from a mirror when a goodguy gets too close, throws hammers just like boupha, and has the Bodzha AI, but can jump further and stuff.

Zombie:
a zombie is necessary, just a pumpkin like enemy (movers slowly, walks off edges) when killed, he drops a brain, brains are the same as candy corn/candy canes

Marshmallow-Man:
a mixture of the Moose-hunter and a squash!

Mutant Zombie:
A much stronger version of the zombie, a zombie turns into a mutant zombie in contact of poison (like when you jump on a shroom, the poison spores)

Supreme Squeezy Cheese:
when picked up the player's attacks are twice as powerful for a limited ammount of time (perhaps all attacks could break crumbly bricks and blast bricks too)

Sleepless Inn:
a small inn you can go in to heal. how much you are healed depends on how much score you have (1 heart per 1500 points for example) it can only be entered once, so be careful! the sleepless inn also counts as a goodguy, and is vulnerable to enemy attacks.

Pygmy Hunter:
just an average character. once he throws his spear he has to go pick it up though. at close range he just tries to stab you though.

The Giant Hammer:
a beacon of sorts. it is turned on by an electrical current. All Pygmy hunters on the screen will be attracted to it once it is turned on
(based on the sekrit level in the SWC world "pygmy island")

anyways, just some ideas i wanted to get out of my head

how about a extra stuff pack? stuff for easier level making?

castle gate:goodguys go through it,bad guys don't.can be desrtoyed in five hits

generator:if its used to replace something,it will generate that thing every few seconds

other people post your ideas please!

there was talk of a "Sci-fi" pack in the chat the other day, ill post my ideas for one.

Rocket Ship: (costume/vehicle)
moves around like the penguin does underwater, but in the air, as a costume, hitting into stuff would hurt you, as a vehicle, your costume would get in, and hitting something would destroy it and your costume would fall out.

Moon Soil:
any thing on this has their gravity cut in half until they touch down on something else.

UFO:
moves around left and right, possibly towards the nearest goodguy, and starts up a tractor beam when something goes underneath it, the tractor beam would work like a Northern Wind. from the top it would act like a gargoyle, from the bottom you would be hurt,

Blackduck

I'll go ahead and add onto that Sci-fi pack idea.

Astronaut: Moves slower but can jump higher, kind of like Yerfdog, and can walk on walls/ceiling.
Star: Gives some amount of points
Alien: Walks back and forth and can shoot your with a lazer
Wormhole: Sucks everything around it in, and throws it out at another end.
Blackhole: Same thing as Wormhole, but it destroys it.

this has nothing to do with sci-fi, but i always wanted a ramp, the name says it all, instead of jump, you just hold right and go up the ramp... this would also work for everything else that moves left or right

Personally, I'd like to see the kid do something except walk, jump and put on costumes.
Maybe make items? Like a katana or boxing gloves.

That would ruin the point of the kid being somebody without a costume.

Ateroid:
stands still until pushed, then it rolls until stopped by a wall.
another idea for this is that its made of the same stuff as the rock tiles from the fantasy pack, and can be turned lava-y and non lava-y dropping the asteroid from a high spot would detonate blast bricks, destroy bricks and crumbly bricks, and turn those rock tiles into lava-y rock tiles

*Unique ways of getting costumes: For possible expansions, new methods of getting costumes can become available, as opposed to just having to pick up a costume card. Examples include the following:

*Collecting all the Ankh Symbols to acquire the Anubis costume.
*Picking up an AK-8087 would grant you a Mercenary costume that wears off after all the ammo is wasted.

Hey, working on an old level I never finished; should be almost done. I was thinking of some stuff, which I /may/ have already mentioned before but didn't see it in my first few posts here.

Angled Bricks - these are like 1/2 bricks, but they're cut at a ?45 degree? angle so characters can slide down them quickly, but move up them slowly. [Just think of the light and shadow blocks, but solid.]

Also, I think more candy point options would be nice. [Maybe the new packs have some; I still just have the Creator's Pass.] Chocolate bars, caramel apples, party punch, etc. Each could have its own points twist, such as being worth a really large amount of points, but not being able to collect any more candy points for [x] seconds, or [extreme] the entire level.

This idea might be kinda pointless for many people, but I know in the past I thought it would be nice to have quicksave / quickload options. You'd only be able to load a point where you were at in Level A in that same level; once you exited or went to Level B, the save would be erased.

The water is certainly nice [heh, I see many comparisons with Speedy Eggy's water effect :)], but I was also thinking it would be nice to have a version of water that wasn't static, ie behaved like real water. I can imagine a scenario where a gap filled with spikes can't be crossed by a penguin, but if he opens up a "container of water" above [an area with a color-blocked bottom], it sloshes down, filling up the same amount or room it did above and allowing the penguin to swim above the spikes.

I'm sure there are also other uses for the water, like putting out those chimney fires. :p

And that leads me to a silly little pack idea: city officials! [There's certainly a better name.]

Officer - uses handcuffs to restrain enemies [or possibly anything that moves, like gargoyles and fat crows]. Maybe has a bully club for defense.

Firefighter - [another use for water] can put out fires, or just spray water from one place to another. Maybe has a ladder, too, that goes up a few blocks. [The ladder [I]might require something to lean it against.]

Doctor - can heal himself. Maybe can create nurses that can assist him.

-----------------------------

This isn't a big deal to me, but there don't seem to be any playable female characters. That might be something to keep in mind.

--stuff about real water--

i was thinking about something like this a little while back, it would be pretty sweet if implemented in CP

anyways, had some more ideas

Grav Switch:
a sort of little device that flips the gravity of anything that goes on it, costumes, crates, enemies, candy corn, etc.

Lever: (may have already been suggested)
Like a trigger, but in lever form, when it is left, it is off, when it is right, it is on, the lever switches sides when you walk past it (ex: lever is off, you walk past it going right, it switches to on, if you were to walk past it going left, while it was off, nothing would happen). If that makes sense

Glad someone else agrees. I'll take that as a 1/2 compliment. ;)

Maybe fire outside of the chimney could also be something useful, like extinguishable spikes.

Hey, maybe there should be an Elements Pack, with four costumes instead of 3! :)

Airman, Waterwoman, Fireman, Earthwoman ... IDK. :D

nuuu, that would kill "Boboil is Boiling". :<

Anyways..

Green Keycard: Unlimited use green key.
Red Keycard: Is not a punching glove
Blue Keycard: You know what this does.
Screamer Costume: Immune and invisible to all enemies.

I've noticed that water doesn't put out magma either, but meh.

I think Sci-Fi pack should be the prime concern, since there is only 24/25 tiles left to get in.

Sci-Fi pack

Some RWK stuff, yeah
mirrors that reflect bullets like a mirror would (meh)
robot guard (squash, bodzha, moose hunter fusion) Moves at you (squash), jumps over obstacles (bodzha), and aims and fires at you (moose hunter).
fan, makes wind four blocks long, one block high, in front of it (spark turns on/off)
9V battery, sends a permanent current up, instead of having to charge to send one spark.
spark tap, faces left and right, and gets sparks from the bottom only, if no (colour) button is pressed, it goes left, if (colour) button IS pressed, it goes right. Comes in three colours.
wire water. if a spark hits this, it and all water and electric things around it get 'shocked'. water harms for 1 damage if shocking.
Silhouette, if a moving object hits it, it leaves a pitch black copy of that object in place. This acts like the object, but can't move. a silhouette player cannot finish the level, and doesn't need to, but if it dies, you still lose.

Man, thats more techno than Sci-Fi, oh well

just wanted to share something i was thinking of, every time a new pack has something that uses electricity, the pack needs to have something that acts like wire, Fantasy pack had the force field.

Well, that's sort-of understandable given that the oceans have magma underneath them, although that's constantly being cooled and turned into crust in the creating-land-cycle-type-thing :p (as I recall).

We'll see where the Sci-Fi pack goes. I recall Jamul writing that he wasn't planning on creating one, but it might blossom out of control or something. :P

SpaceManiac

Actually, the static water putting things out would be pointless. It would mean no more combining magma with underwater - it'd be the same as placing the solid rock. Same with fireplaces.

Yeah, I meant an alternative to just static water, stuff that poured and "went away" if there was no container to keep it in, and fell in "blobs" like the candy. And it would be a slightly different color.

Bigger sized levels.
Blocks that let you walk on walls and ceilings, kinda like the triangle blocks in Super Mario World.
Conveyor belts that move left or right.
Half-blocks that Santa and Dr. Lunatic can jump.

Some things I REALLY want.

Gravity Changers
Bosses
Scrolling levels.

I support these ideas

Eek. Can you imagine how many levels we'd get with nothing but bosses? *_*
/me lols

I'm pretty sure one is Hamumu-themed, but the other could be anything. Well, not anything - it's definitely not a hat, for instance. Or a piece of toast.

I now want a tile which is a piece of toast with a hat.

something like those switch things in stockboy. rotates all the wind 90degrees clockwise or something. (although whatever pack that has this would need some sort of wind)
