One feature I thought would be cool for Costume Party is Multiplayer- You could play co-op on levels with more than one kid or maybe a battle mode. Multiplayer would be pretty easy as the game already needs internet access. Or maybe two different sets of controls for two different kids, which would add another level of difficulty for creators to use in their levels!

Another thing that would be nice would be the option to make bigger levels. Like in SSBB Stage Creator- A small stage, a medium stage, or a large stage.

Actually, you're slightly off. CP communicates with a database to upload and download levels and stuff, but multiplayer would require some sort of server application to synchronise people's games and such, which is a lot trickier.

Well, there's only so much I can suggest for right so here it goes anyway:

~Dumb Pack suggestions~

*Pygmies: Much like in Dr. Lunatic, they chase after you whenever they spot within a certain range. They also stop chasing you after you reach a certain distance from them. Might be useful for stealth-based levels.

*Kid Mystic: Instead of being a possible costume form, he's an enemy that goes around shooting fireballs that destroy powerups and collectibles (except for keys). The real tricky part is when you've collected all the candy, he heads for the exit like you would. If he gets there before you, it's game over. Another great element for puzzle-based scenarios.

*Teleporters: Everybody who's played Dr. Lunatic is already aware of what these are, they zip you to one point to another. I'll bet level makers can find a million things to use these for.

Hey, maybe yerfdog could suck up bricks and such like the witch zaps.

Sorry, man, but the Yerfdog is already implemented (see journal entry on Dumb Pack for more info). As for any possible expansion ideas, I'd probably bring up something like this:

~The Spring Pack~

*Costumes include Leprechaun, Easter Bunny, and the April Fool
*Obstacles range from ramps to tall trees (take up 2x2 tiles), as well as any other Spring-themed obstacles
*Enemies: Squash, Crab Apple (apple with crab claws), etc.

I belive that this already has its own thread. And there are already teleporters.

I like these concepts, but in keeping with Hamumu tradition it should be a Summer Pack [WW = Winter Pack, so SS = Summer Pack, but maybe just in my mind.]

Another idea for a pack which doesn't really have anything specific to do with Hamumu but opens up many possibilities is a pack based on sci-fi-ish technology [or maybe just sci-fi itself, I just though].

[Jamul, you may want to consider making more than just three packs, unless you can't think of nice new ideas or people's ideas don't bode well.]

~ X-Treme pack ~

- Contains skateboarder, biker, and surfer characters [or simply items Kid
Hallow can use].

- Curved pieces, which allow the Kid to gain momentem if he rides down
them.
[Grav-i-tah!]

- Rails, waves, ramps, oh my! [Etc.]

~ Rockin' Pack ~ *Not trying to be a kiss-up, but I was
inspired by the latest Journal*

Possible costumes

Guitarist - maybe smashes his guitar in front of him

maybe shoots picks like bullets

Drummer "Boi" - maybe throws sticks like pygmy spears

maybe can roll drum and pick it up again

Singurrrl [Yes, female singer] - maybe shoots sound waves
out in all directions, weak
but they go far

maybe can use her long hair as
a whip, banging her head
forward

maybe soothes
[slows] enemies for a period of
time by singing

Possible enemies

Krazed Fans - a tight cluster of mixed genders who rush a
band member.

Copyright lawyers - small dude w/ a briefcase and a suit.
When first met, he will aid you in fighting
off other enemies [acting like a shield],
but after [x] seconds turns on you.

Records and CDs - angry that digital downloads are becoming
the norm, these guys will try to rush and
roll over you

Other idea

Automatic levels which are beaten the "G--tar H--o" way: u/d/l/r arrows scroll along at the bottom the screen, and the player presses them at the right time to make the character move correctly. [They lose health if the wrong buttons are continually pushed.] Plenty of issues here, but I wanted to suggest it. :P
