1. This should be under costume party!
2. As stated in the journal reply box, there should be a second light layer so you can have two different lighting effects on one box!

YAY! Woot! I think this is a smart idea, and I'm glad for more trickiness. Thanks, Jamul!
P.S. what will the new background be?

I'll copy paste all the ideas from the journal comments:
Mr. Onion: What about a lightbulb that creates light in every space around the light, rather than directly on top of it?
AtkinsSJ: I think the battery could be useful for timers: a monster walks over a switch x times, to then drop a crate or whatever. It'd take up much less space that way.
Also, what sort of interaction with water? Maybe everyone in water takes damage if a spark enters it, or something.
But yeah, wires are an awesome idea! YAY!
TyTBone: Hello ;)
I endorse Atkins' idea about sparks and water. [One might have to kill the baddies in the water to get through, by electrocuting them.]
I'm SURE somebody's suggested this, but what about conveyor belts? You could use batteries to power them...
yourter12: How about grey pressure pads and switches that don't trigger colored blocks, but sends down a spark down the wire it's connected to. (Otherwise, it's useless!)
Redbone: Hey I know, when the switch pops up, the player (Or anything that's pressing it) should be sent flying!
SpaceManiac: Hello
I endorse sparks and batteries and water-interactions! Interaction between packs is important.
Pumpkineater: Why don't you add a third layer for the wires (and mabe air)so that it could work better with water and light?
Chinook: Maybe when the blue button pops back up, it sends the Kid into the air very high, like a super jump. That way, he has to push it down, avoid some pathing enemies or other dangers, and wait for it to come back, sending him into a huge jump. That'd be kinda fun. :)
Varkarrus: Sparking a gateway will turn them off, causing the player to jump to the NEXT cloesest doorway.
Sillyman: Yeah, either buttons on sparks should not act like normal buttons or there should be special gray buttons. And do the batteries exactly as you have described, they'll be awesome. Also: Electricity hitting water should produce a wave of electricity that spreads outward and hurts and makes sparks in wires.
Megadog: You should have a second, exactly the same light layer for all the light so you can make it go under water as well as having underwater currents and wind over darkness that blows grues around!

Bouapha's classic rocketship could be something battery-operated. Every time the battery fills and then empties, powering the rocket, it goes straight up [x] number of squares, then comes back down. The player can ride the rocket, and will automatically pop out once the rocket reaches it's peak point.
Another aspect of this is the ability to change the angle that the rocket shoots, somehow. [Most likely also using sparks.]

Robot: It turns on with a spark. It starts moving in whatever direction it's facing. It can easily push boxes, enemies, and even purple koo- erm, the player. The robot continues pushing its target until it cannot push anymore, or until its target falls down or is destroyed. Maybe it could have a grip on its target to guarantee it doesn't get away so the target is squashed if the robot pushes it against a wall. It could be a clockwork robot for the Dumb Pack.

I like the Robot. :p Although to make it more Hamumu-y themed, maybe it could be a Dr. Lunatic zombie that comes to life after getting zapped.
I liked TyTBone's idea, too; Zapping water should kill all the fish. >: D
Maybe a platform that rides along the wires so they have another useful purpose?
A Matter Converter that turns mass into energy! If an enemy or object lands in it, it turns into a spark. If a kid steps in it, it turns into a spark which moves along the wire until it reaches another Matter Converter (so it acts like a teleport, too).
Maybe the Happy Stick Ninja, being made of ''wires'', can carry a spark inside of him if he walks into one. That way, he can catch a spark and then bring it over to a machine. If he gets hit, the spark disappears.

There should be a giant floating spark that when placed beside a wire, will make the wire electric and dangerous. Also, those giant sparks should be triggered on/off by a special switch, probably the gray switch that is for sending sparks through wires when not connected to any wires.
Also, if a spark pops a pumpkin, it should make a chain reaction where it pops the pumpkin beside it!

Jamul told me in the chat that if he made a third layer, all the levels would be destroyed :(

And maybe when the spark hits a steel block head-on it'll zap the mall, making then temporarily dangerous?

Maybe have it that if you have the wire with nothing at the end it becomes a frayed wire and shoos sparks just in front of it, harming things and electrocuting water!

Sorry for the DP but why?

Sorry for the DP but why?
Because the level's format would be changed and the current levels would not work

Assuming that the levels are currently stored as the character for the floor tile., then a character for the light tile at that place, then adding a third layer would mean that the third character, which should be the object for the second square, would now be a wire.
Or something like that.
But yeah, I really like the conveyor belt idea. Could allow some pretty new stuff.
