Sorry to start threads over little issues, but I don't know where else to discuss these things...

Wow, so Kid Mystic has been endosed by Fox?! :p [Yeah, I'm guessing it's through the eGames connection or something like that...] "The Best Fantasy Role-Playing Game for PC"... wow, high praise! :D

-------

Rather off the other subject...

I recall seeing, on the opening of Bouapha's Spooky Castle, an ad for "?Xtreme Games?" [My PC's down; otherwise I'd make sure.] I'm really curious what those people [or person] added to the game. Were they the ones who convinced eGames to take Spooky Castle and put it in packs, in exchange for credit? [I know that's a reeeeeaaaallll longshot; I'm just guessing.] :p

That was not written by Fox. It is a statement made by either eGames or Jamul himself, because I have the eGames cover art to prove it.

It has fox kids written on it, so it is.

I made a mistake in my previous post. I meant that the statement was not made by FOX.

I fully agree that they did endorse it, though, otherwise it would not be there.

Xtreme Games was a development branch of eGames, although I have absolutely no idea as to what they specialise in. They used to have a website, but after the run-in with Hasbro Interactive with regards to eGames selling the Pac-Man clone 3D Maze Man, Xtreme Games ceased to exist.

Dude, that's great information! :D Thank you so much. [And I remember the 3D Maze Man demo. There was, like, an exact duplicate, only with a frog, too, I believe.] It reminds me of that pseudo-sandbox 3d adventure game where you have to rescue your hubby from an ape king; the EXACT SAME levels were used for "Frog Frenzy 2", except that...um...the main characters were frogs.

You're welcome.

I used to like 3D Maze Man a lot. I still have my Arcade Classics Collection disc that contains it. Not that I play it these days, at any rate.

The frog version was called 3D Frog Man. Surprisingly, my dad used to spend lots of time playing it.

There was also this interesting two-player paddle game called Booym. It had a great WAV soundtrack. If you play as one player, the computer takes over player 2, and while you start off with ten lives, the computer starts off with...101. The only three problems I found with this game was that 1) there was no save function, so if you quit before finishing Level 60, you have to start from Level 1; 2) it occasionally crashes for no reason; and 3) the ball gets stuck sometimes. The game also had a bug, in that the ball could pierce through indestructible blocks if it was travelling fast enough.

Dude! I remember that [off eGames Galaxy of Arcade Classics disc], and the soundtrack WAS great! [Although it was just an eGames demo.] Do you know the exploration game I was talking about earlier, with the king monkey and two people?

Oh, your Booym copy was a demo? Did it have sixty levels? Mine did.

As for that exploration game, I have never heard of it. Sorry.

(looks at image)

Ahh yes, Blast Thru. I got through all forty levels once losing only one life, I think. I used to play that paddle game quite well.

That's okay! I found it! :D

I remember the first time I played this on my dad's laptop, as part of Galaxy of Arcade Classics. :D I thought it was the greatest thing ever.

FYI, Andro, I think there were two versions of "GoAC", because the version I played didn't have 3D Maze-Man. It had [all demos, or "Special Editions"] Speedy Eggbert, Safari Kongo, Crazy Drake, Star Miner, Nebulae Fighter [which my brother loved], DemonStar, and Booym... I think that was all of them.

Yeah, there are two versions. The one I have was the first one, which had seven games and over about demos.
