Well, I think he's very scary. Every time I look at him (which I accidently stumbled across him. Oooooooh!

I find nothing scary about it, it has pink hair.(Or does it...? I thought it did) and it's not hard to beat(Unless you are given almost no weapons), but that part has nothing to do with how scary it is.

:D I just got a new idea for an edit to one of the levels in Hero's Meseum, glad I didn't send it in yet!

I really don't find anything horribly terrifying about the SDZ, and, on that matter, is not in the least bit scary to me.

Like said in the Journal Entry Comments, Melton is much bigger than SDZ.

*gasp* Someone referenced something I said! Actually, I was terrified of Super Zombies the first time I saw them. It was a dark, fair-weathered night, and I was playing some level in the cavernous caves. Probably didn't help that I had just watched a REALLY freaky/creepy movie called Watership Down. Sure, it's about cuddly bunnies, but the majority of them die because they're buried alive!

It's just that one irritating roar he does [right before spewing explosive balls] that gets on my nerves. :x:)

That's just like happy tree friends! Minus the buried alive part, and it's probably a lot more gory than WSD.

I have actually never seen him :p. I played it with the fun pack, so, I couldn't see him :p. But the first time i actually saw a super zombie... i pretty much screamed. It was on i think the spooky castle aob thing, in that level where its all dark, you have no weapons, and there is 1 super zombie trying to kill you. i was wondering what i was supposed to do, and what was that booming noise, then suddenly i see him running towards me and jumping on me.

Ah, yes, Spooky Castle: Bouapha and its Super Zombies... "The Tower" (correct level name?) in that game was the first time I ever saw a Super Zombie, not expecting to see anything like it in that level. I thought it was the final boss of the game or something >_> It also nearly scared me to death though, and the fact that it's strong as heck if you can't pin it behind a wall and thus proceeded to kill me easily didn't really help either :P
(On a different note, I was also scared to death by the Happy Stick Man in The Torture Chamber because I wasn't expecting it and it killed me even quicker than the Super Zombie did :P)

Regarding SDZ though, nope, not scary.

He is NOT scary. Even his sounds aren't.
I was scared by the Super Zombie on that dark level in Spooky Castle, but that was a long time ago. But when I saw him in a normal level, I thought: ''He isn't really that scary!'', and then blasted him. :P

I think when the Fun Pack was free, people with the demo grabbed it (me), and most of the jsp files were missing, therefore we couldn't see most of the monsters.

What fun pack?! I live with my dad and buying any of the games are out of the question, I only know what you guys are talking about from playing the demos.

SpiderPumpkin

What fun pack?!
The Fun Pack was a free "expansion" type thingy for Dr. Lunatic with Expando-Pak that could be downloaded from the site way back; it added several items, monsters (the first and only real "variant" monsters (recolours) back then since recolouring was added in the Fun Pack, though Bjorn was also "retconned" into a recolour), and new functions for Specials, as well as two add-on worlds making use of the new features. Since the original Dr. Lunatic was pretty much rendered obsolete by Supreme With Cheese though and not even the Expando-Pak is available anymore, the Fun Pack is also impossible to get a hold of nowadays, but all its features are present in SwC anyway.

The Fun Pack worked with the demo? Oo Did it unlock any full version features?

It unlocked the ability to play addons, but I don't know about anything else.

I believe the correct level, if you mean the dark one, is The Chase.

Well I'm pretty sure everyone else is talking about "the chase" I hate that level! nothing but 1 SZ and machine guns spread throughout the whole level, and every single bullet has to hit it or else there won't be enough!

I'm pretty sure you can miss a few, or else my firing into the darkness was a lot more acurate than I originally thought.

EDIT: Though we shouldn't be talking about Super Zombies, we should be talking about Super Duper Zombies.

k... I'll tell you about scary. Half life 2 (ravenholm section) is scary. resident evil 4, is scary. Silent hill, is scary. hippies, are scary (lol)

I'm pretty sure a monster with a poorly modeled mouth, glasses, and a bark much louder than its bite, is not in the least bit scary. In fact, I've never been all that scared of a video game at all... well, most video games, I can't say all of them for sure.

anyways, ignore the fun pack stuff, its all outdated now that swc has come out (and has been out for what, four years?)

exactly! I'm not all that scared of most of those games, (unless you count the parts where you get shocked by a monster that jumps out of nowhere) but I know they're scary...

I hate it when monsters suddenly jump out at you. Once in one of the levels in World of Impossibility it was dark and I was going down and suddenly "EEEYAHHHHHH" by Mush the Shroom.

But the Super Duper Zombie never actually scared me.

Also, Bouapha suddenly dieing sometimes scares me.

Actually, he never said that he was talking about that in any way. Redbone was, kacper never mentioned that.

how could you not expect it? either you're at low hp and you die and a couple hits, (being at low hp you should be at a constant search for health) or your life is being sucked away by lava or something, in which case the overlapping ouch sound should fully prepare you for his death sound... which isn't that bad.

SpiderPumpkin
07-18-2009, 02:33 PM
how could you not expect it?
By getting hit/attacked by something (strong) when you're simply not expecting it, or possibly not even seeing it (*cough*dark levels*cough*). And especially on Hard difficulty (which I still like to call "Normal" because it's the set difficulty level of the original game) and even moreso on Lunatic (monsters and bullets aren't only stronger but also move a lot faster), there's a whole lot of things that can potentially kill you in the blink of an eye, particularly when you're already relatively low on HP.

It's quite easy to avoid that by including a check for the players location in the special that is going to do the summon.

I was more referring to the trap where it summons a Roly Poly on top of you (Why use a Roly Poly? Pumpkin can crush you too!), but I guess that would work.

It's fun to mess with people and the objective that most put out there is to make it the most difficult thing out there.

that isn't difficult, its just downright annoying. a better trap would be to trap them in a cheat proof room with a boss and no weapons.
