I made a level with no packs required called "The Lunar East". It might be a bit difficult, though.

Expansions give people much more possibilities for level creation. When one has expansions, he gets used to using them, since they add tons of more gameplay. You really should buy them, since 1) They are cheap. 2) They are awesome. 3) You help Jamul.

I just want to filter out levels I can't play.
I mean, I hardly play CP anyway, and go here every day, so its not like a don't know about the packs.

There used to be a thread about search filter options. There were complaints about how if packs are not owned, it is extremely difficult to find levels that are playable. (Of course, this is an incentive to get the packs; I understand that you can't though.) I had made a suggestion in that thread: the search could automatically filter out levels that you couldn't play, but in each page of ten levels, a couple should be unplayable levels for advertising purposes.

To be blunt (and I don't mean to be rude; I'm sorry if I seem that way), there are basically three solutions that I see:


Play Costume Party and just try hard to find playable levels.
Don't play Costume Party.
Somehow get the expansions (preferably by persuasion, not piracy or violent coercion).

Seriously, though, I do think an option to search with packs, without packs, or by certain packs is a very good idea.

I made a non-expansion level a while back called "Chained Costumes," and I have a few other non-expansion ones from before I had the packs.
