Does anyone have any good ideas for some new worlds? I want to start doing another world, but I am running out of ideas. Get some ideas together and I'll keep thinking. Hopefully soon I'll have another world out. Hopefully Mark or Jvat will get one out, too!

Keep in mind that making worlds that other people can play is really fun and it isn't that hard. After all, I can make them, anyone should be able to do it!

Thanks!

I don't see an entire world that is Valentine's or St Patricks Day. Other types of themes would be great. I started off just taking worlds from the game and making alternates. Then I decided that there wasn't one that was all water so I came up with Water World. Since there wasn't anything new around Christmas, I decided that I could make one with new Christmas graphics. It just takes a little imagination and things come up. I am not artistic. If it meant that I had to be artistic, too I would never make any worlds. JVat made a great world with no new graphics. He just came up with good idea. That's all it really takes.

Thank you so much for creating new worlds!! That is my problem, I have no imagination for the ideas. I know I could figure out the editor, but the artistic part just escapes me. Would a theme idea be enough? How about an upcoming holiday, St. Patrick's Day or Valentine's Day? Or do you need more of an idea drawn out? Maybe something about a new millenium? Or the problems with DOT COMs?

I don't mean artistic as in new graphics. I mean I am not artistic as in what would make a good layout/world/puzzle. In other words, I can sew very well, IF I have a pattern to tell me what to do. I can't picture in my mind what would look good without someone showing me first.

If themes would be enough for you, I will do my best to try to come up with some ideas. I would love to see a new Dr. L. world. Right now, the only thing I can think of is that I like forest designs and I like it when the moss is there. Maybe that is because I am a Pacific NW native (you know the jokes about Seattle )

I also like the one where we started out with a lot of doors and one key. We had to choose a gate and ride the railcar to one area and defeat the enemies in that area, get a key, come back and choose another door until we had completed all 7 areas above. Then we would get the red key and start with the 3 areas below. If you need the name of the world I am talking about, let me know.

One other idea pops to mind right now. How about a theme about being frustrated waiting for something that was promised and is overdue that you know will be SUPER? (i.e. LooneyLand ) Just teasing Mark.

Here's a few world themes that have been sloshing about in the back of my noggin for a while. They'll mostly benefit from some new graphics, but then being able to create new tiles and objects for the game is one of its greatest joys.

1..Urban Gorilla (yes, deliberately misspelt)..set in a city, with the exit from each level being indicated by a small animated gorilla.

2..The Big Top..based, surprise, surprise, around a circus theme.

3..Mutiny on the Bounty..a ship/highseas/pirate world

4..Xanadon't..a pleasure dome, as decreed by Kubla Klutz

5..Revolting Vegetables (or Why I Don't Like Greens)..yes it's those violent Dr L veggies on the rampage in Mr McGregor's garden.

6..School's Out..naughty pupils acting up.

That'll do for now. Feel free to pinch, adapt or ignore as you see fit. Hey BeeBop..I think you're getting me and Mike muddled up. He's the creative genius. I'm the student.

Sorry about the name swap. I knew as soon as I put the actual name in, I would goof. I recognize the creator and commend him. I am also very impressed with the students!!! Whatever the correct names are!

I was just reminded of one of my favorite areas in a world. The one that was a big city and you started out on the left standing in the middle of the road with the roly polys going around. I loved that one!!!!!!!

Hopefully you are regretting starting this thread. I will try to keep up with ideas and hopefully one will hit somebody!

Sounds like someone else's style...maybe someone is ready to do some new worlds besides me!

Everyone else keep thinking...
