Is SPISPOPD alot like SPISPOPD 2? I know practically nothing about SPISPOPD 1.

Maybe vaguely... if you have an older computer you could try it out, but if it's anything in the P2+ range, getting it to run would be pretty questionable... might work though.
It's a top down game, the worlds consist of 10 levels + 1 secret level each, and on each level, there are three floors you go between by ladders, and it's sorta like Dr. L - you have to collect all the candles on the level (then Bouapha says he is Kool Kat Bad - that's why that sound effect is so grungy sounding in Dr. L, it's a super old 11k mono sound from SPISPOPD!), and then hop aboard a rocket ship. And of course you go around grabbing keys, stepping on teleporters, pushing blocks, and throwing hammers at pumpkins. All the enemies are either pumpkins or friends of pumpkins, like the yetis, squashes, and Chef Liem. It's not quite as family friendly as Dr. L... when Bouapha dies, his head pops off and blood spurts out, then his arms pop off one at a time in showers of blood. It's super funny!! I swear. You have to understand he's about 10 pixels tall, so it's not exactly gruesome. And the reason "You Suck" is considered the "classic" game over message in Dr. L is that it was the game over message in SPISPOPD.

Well, you may not have a tool for unzipping it, since it sounds like you haven't dealt with zip files before. But, they don't take long to download so you can just see!
(and if you don't and REALLY wanna try it, go to www.winzip.com).
You should "Save To Disk" and keep clicking the "go up a directory" repeatedly until it ends up at your desktop. Then in the future, stuff you download will end up on your desktop where you can see it and click on it right away.
Anyway, then you unzip it to a new folder and run it. It may or may not work at all. Good luck!

That either means it's not installed right (look and see if there's a folder called VOC and if all the files that end in .voc are in it), or that your system just won't run DOS stuff with enough memory (not that you have low memory in the computer, but it's some weird dos stuff that is far beyond explaining). In that case, I don't know what to tell you and I'm glad I choose not to support those games!

If I were going to do anything to alleviate questions about these old games, it'd be to remove them from the web site entirely! Basically, spending any time at all messing with them isn't worth it to me, since most people can't play them, or can't figure out how to (since they can be so tough to get installed or configure to work on a given system). I would rather spend the time creating and supporting games that will work for everyone (and perchance even make me some dough!). Those games are really just included for posterity and for diehard freaks. So that's the reasoning... unsupported games that are truly unsupported!

I don't think your mistake was in putting it on the site
It was giving people a place to ask.(meant as nicely as possible)
What's the point of a support forum for an unsupported games?
I must say it was a kind, great, and silly action.

Yeah... I realize that. But then, who says it's a support forum? You can talk about your adventures and excitement in SPISEDIT or swap the worlds you've made, I don't know. Something.
I think the original thought was that regular folks might help each other out on it. Actually, I think I just wanted to make more forums, I was having fun setting things up.

I guess filling up would be a good motive.
I say "support" because 99% of the talk is support or "look i went up a rank!!!!!!!!!"
I do remember when the Dr. Lunatic board was new. So, before that there wasn't many reasons for separate boards.
And many boards do make you look important and looking important (while not being) is addictive!
Edit: look i went up a rank!!!!!!!!!

I did some stuff and I figured out how to get the editor to run, and I can get the title screen of the game uo, but I press a key to make it continue and it boots me out and says the program (ms dos prompt) performed an illegal operation. I also tried restarting in ms dos mode, but that just made it freeze up.
