No, you are rewarded this badge for beating adventure mode... you can use it to find missing powerups. It looks like a smiley face, the badge I mean, not the crystal ball. Okay, that made no sense... just beat adventure mode and all will be explained. Oh yes... I think the percentage isn't affected by badges. That might mean there is a badge for getting 100%. I am willing to bet anything that 100% will net you a badge, but I won't get 100 percent for awhile because of that heart in gloomy cavern.

Crystal ball? I am not sure what you mean. Is it the badge that gives you the ability to see everthing? Is it the '20/20' badge?
