how to use special weapons

Well, the only weapons you can use are the ones you find, with the yellow circle spinning around them (Like the potted cactus in Luniton). The items in your inventory just get used automatically as needed, you can't choose to use them. Anyway, once you find the weapons, you can change them and power them up by collecting more or other weapons from monsters you kill (you can only get ones that you've found somewhere, like how you found the potted cactus in the village). If picking up weapons doesn't change to the new weapon, then you have Weapon Lock turned on - hit ESC and turn it off from the pause menu (when it's on, you keep the weapon you have until you turn it off again). If you can't fire your weapon, you don't have enough gems. It shows how many it costs to fire on the screen (it says something like "5 III", 5 is the cost in gems to use it, III is the level of power it is at). Good luck!
