You know what? I am a legal owner of Ultimate Doom (or maybe it was final?) and I wanted to reinstall it years after I had bought it, but one of the 6 disks it was on was bad. I had made the mistake of buying it as a download, and iD, or possibly activision or somebody, being very unhamumuey, wouldn't let me download it again and completely ignored me, so I never could play it again.

i found all three of those at... best buy about two weeks ago for fifteen bucks. i think it was some collectors edition they brought out in order to advertise doom 3.

p.s. did you ever know anybody at id? one of the cheats for ultimate doom was "idspispopd."

I AM A VERY PROUD OWNER OF DOOM!
and, doom owners, if you want to take doom to the next level, download this Http://zdoom.org/files/lars/63a.cab
i have Ultimate Doom, Original doom [not ultimate], Doom2, Final Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Strife [those 3 are BASED upon the doom Engine]

Edit: DANG, Jamul, that's kinda Sad. Doom's a lot of fun.

zdoom improves doom a lot. it doesnt change the gameplay, just improves it. Doom is worse without it.

i got all 3 doom games. I cant wait until the fourth one comes out! (which is called doom3 because the third doom game was just a bunch of new levels and not much new)

yeah, u need to say duke nukem 3d ownez. unfortunatly it doesnt work on fancy windows xp.

When my mum realised how violent doom, duke nukem and quake was when i was about 7 or 8 years old, she made me delete the games off my pc!

But i got my hands on those classic games a few years later.

Windows XP (also called Windoze Ex Pee) is a pain in the arse when it comes to old games. Mainly because DOS is crappy. There is a special version of Doom called ZDoom that runs perfect in Windows XP. I'm not exactly sure where to get it, I have it cuz my bro gave it to me. Maybe searching Google might help.

uh, Mr.Zee, i just gave the EXACT link for Zdoom above, if you didn't pay attention. it's for the most recent version, and improves upon doom, not just makes it playable for XP.
ex: custom monsters from scratch, and an awful lot more.
edit: no, it's not that DOS is crap, it's that XP doesn't use normal DOS. it uses a dos EMULATOR, a FAKE DOS. it's not the real DOS, which is why they don't work well.

double edit:

if you needed the link again.
triple edit:
also, if you want a normal link to see the news {i advise against going into the forums unless you HAVE to}

Oh, sorry, my mistake. Hahaha! I forgot XP uses an emulator. I don't see why Microsoft made a crappy emulator for DOS. They could've made a better one. Plus, www.zophar.net has a few DOS emulators which I haven't tried, but ought to, if it's better than XP's.

also, do remember of MS-DOS, which was MS's version OF DOS, so why did they have to make a crappy emulator of THEIR OWN PROGRAM?

Yea, they ruined it on purpose! *kills microsoft*
