Beta testing

I'm looking for a few (A FEW!) good men (and women).

The job? To test out the new version of Kid Mystic.

The rewards? Get to play it for free before it's released, and get a free copy when it IS released, any appropriate custom forum title of your choice (in place of "Cool Dude", etc), and a stupid surprise (seriously, don't do it for the surprise). Only testers who fulfill their obligations get the rewards.

The details of the job? You'll be given access to a hidden Beta Testing forum, you should post there your findings, be they good, bad, or ugly. If you're not posting at least once every few days, you're out! It shouldn't take long to test this game, a couple weeks should be all it takes. I won't be adding lots of suggestions, just fixing bugs and balance.

How to send the application? E-mail it to me at jamul@hamumu.com ... don't post it or you won't be picked! Part of the concept is to see if you can actually follow directions. It's a surprisingly rare ability.

I'll only be accepting a small number, so if you don't get picked, it's not because you're horrible or because I'm a cantankerous old coot, it's just the luck of the draw.

P.S. Jamul, do you think this will be better than Loonlyland? I'm going to ask for a Hamumu game for Christmas, and it's down to Loonyland or this (provided you get it done in time for Christmas).

Maybe I should clarify: when I say I'm looking for a mix, that means I want both people who HAVE played Kid Mystic, and who HAVE NOT played Kid Mystic. I will be choosing a fairly equal number of each.

I just recently replayed the original for the third time.

Okay, thanks everybody, it is OVAH. Everybody who sent me an app is either in or out. We actually got so many applications, I had to pick randomly! So don't feel bad if you're out, it was random. If you haven't received a reply, then let me know, because I either never got the application or you didn't get my reply. And stick around - I might need alternates for when people flake out on me.

I would have been a good beta tester... I spend most (sometimes) ALL my free time using computers and playing games..... :(

Which reminds me... Jamul, I wanna give you a game of UT 2004. I bet one million dollars I can beat you. And i hardly get lag on just a 1vs1 match.

No. It means that if somebody flakes out and Jamul does another random pick, he'll make it so that the people who sent in an application the first time aound are more likely to get picked.
