I have been challenged to a UT2k4 match by a certain person. My response is this:

Lemme guess, you'd be hosting it in England with 0ping, and I connect from California, resulting in 400ping? WELL BRING IT ON.

Seriously, do we have players here? Can we get a full on game going? I haven't played in months. I imagine there must be a reasonable way to set up a server that people can play on with only the demo (so using a demo map, obviously). Any full game owners ready to join, or people who have or would like to get the demo and take us on? It is NOT a family friendly game, I should warn.

i would had i had a computer which could support new kid mystic, let alone unreal tournament.

then you have to think of the fact he's using a 56k modem, thus, causing an even BIGGER ping. i know this because i did battle Code Name 47 on UT2004 once. i had a ping of 237 and wasn't able to react to things quickly enough.
well, however, my UT2004 break is almost over. i just hope Code Name 47's doom break is almost over....

He's definitely not allowed to host if he's on dial-up! We can always just find a nice neutral battleground in the eastern US as a compromise.

i'm in the eastern us, but i have a proxy and firewall.
i would host it, since i'm not on dial up, but due to proxy and firewall, i can't host it at all.
i might join though. :D

I wish I could get UT2k4. it sounds good. What is it rated?

Use msn messenger to organise it! it's better than waiting in a game lobby. Also to find a certain person's game quickly, join via IP.

Also I've been promised broadband connection "soon"

And also after like 1 or 2 minutes of playing a 1vs1 game with my modem the lag gets better. Plus I'll search the web for the best free internet accelerator.

Come on jamul, lemme give you one game with my modem. Pleeeaaaase!

If you host, You won't get the lag.

I'd be perfect for hosting the game, location-wise and speed-wise, but I've got the full version so it's a no-go. Unless those who have the demo are willing to go out and buy it now... :) (I got it on eBay for like 15 bucks) In any case, I'd be happy to participate in an all-out Hamumu onslaught.

Well, anybody who wants to find me should check after 4pm PST, do a buddy search or whatever it is for Hamumu. I'm around sometimes! I started practicing deathmatch yesterday since my skills have been challenged... and I hadn't played in 6 months.

I'm in a different time zone and don't know when you guys are playing UT 2004. Please get msn messenger.

Is Microsoft paying you to browbeat us until you download their product? Because it's not working. If the readers of your posts already use MSN (god forbid), your messages are irrelevant, and if they instead use another client of their choice, they'll find your incessant whining offensive and become repulsed away from MSN (which they should be, anyway). It's a lose-lose situation. Not to mention the sheer annoyingness of simply pulling "MSN messenger" out of your hat as a solution to any conceivable problem.

FINE!

Ugh!!! Jamul, I wanna play against you. I added "Hamumu" to my buddy list which was no help at all. Doesnt give me any details if you're even online or not.

What time will you be on 21st of September (tommorow)? (that's if you're planning on going online)

Just tell me which time zone your in and what time (in your time zone) you will be online)

Then I'll look for you.

Assuming Jamul's screen name is exactly "Hamumu", no more and no less, and you put him on your buddy list, then it should tell you what server he's playing on if you hit the "Refresh" button. If nothing shows up, it means he's not online or not in a game. However, I don't know if his name is just "Hamumu" or not; you need to get it exactly right, unless you use asterisks as wildcards.

It is Hamumu exactly.
