Anyway do you get the feeling that Kid Mystic looks a bit like Dr lunatic?

It uses the same engine and some of the same monsters and graphics as Dr. L, but it's certainly no Dr. L. clone. I've never played it, but it looks to me like the gameplay is much different than Dr. L, even if it does share some common elements.
