Shade of white? I don't understand... :?
Inconceivable! (Is it something like "snow" or is it a HTML code like "#CEC2C2"?)

What you have to notice is the year, the logo in the top right, what kind of symbol is in the middle, and the letter in the bottom. Hint, it's a color of a car...

I'm also having trouble with #3. I've looked up at least twenty different cars, keeping the logo and year in mind, and have found no shades of white that satisfy the question. More help please?

The picture incorporates the name of a single car that was generally only available in one color. You do need to figure out the meaning of all three symbols and string them together from top-left to bottom-right, otherwise you will not have the complete name. If you use the right search terms, your answer should show up in the top 10 page summaries on Google.
Also try looking up the manufacturer on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org) if you need a good starting point.

I've finaly solved it! But I seen that many others still haven't.
The best advice I can give is:
Be a bit more accurate in your search
The symbols are an integral part of the solution.
You won't have to type "r"
That's it!

I beat it when I found a .pdf list of all car colors for 1997. Google <3]
Also, I still have no idea what the symbols mean... They don't match the answer. There's not even an "R".

This one made me feel good, I got it easily....
I'm a European car nut and didn't even know what the 1st symbol meant...
For those outside if the USA, look precicely towards a well known Jap. car sold in the states.

the "R" is the specific type of the thing you should be looking for! it's what originally came in the color you want! you can reach the answer without using the "R" but it's just for those of you who were wondering!
this is my first entry, but i think you'll be hearing a lot more from me :)

I didn't recognize the logo, but I took a stab at it; tequitofoot gave good advice. I don't know much about cars either, but the mathematical symbol in the middle (it's not just a pretty forward slash) is a dead giveaway. Deciple_of_Dumb gave a big hint about that one.

The logo's not really European. Would be closer to say Japanese. Someone said it earlier, just google car logos, you'll find the match, then work backwords from the year.

Search engines aren't always too accurate. Keep digging around, you might try adding the year into your search and see if that helps.

for this one i actually went to the google site and did an image search, after scrolling through a few pages i found the logo found out what make it was and then googled that along with white (seeing as though thats what we are looking for) and the year... again the answer wasnt right in front of me but it was there...
Hope this doesnt make it too easy!

How do you do an image search! I tried adding the year to my search- no luck.

go to the proper website... www.google.com and it should a clickable link on there above the search box to do an image search type in the search as normal and itll bring up a whole host of pictures! :) hope this helps

OK I now know what kind of car it is, but I can't find anything about the color of the 1997 model!

This car comes in any color you want, as long as it's white (to paraphrase Ford). This car is also the winner of quite a few tournaments.

i might be wrong and this might have been what senork meant... but i believe i found that this type of car was only made in this colour!!

Yeah, this one was challenging to say the least.
Advice i can give would be to read the posts over for critical bits of information, and figuring out what all the symbols mean really does help, even the 'R', else the answer and the other symbols dont string together as niceley as they were originally intended.
Im back off to solve blacker box :P

You know, [spoilers removed]. The one that is the correct answer is not even listed.
I'd say there is lack of consistency... Not a good puzzle.

Well, I finally got it. This is the first puzzle I've come across where there seems to be an equally good alternate answer, and that is the one I kept running into. The problem is that the "R" doesn't eliminate the alternate answer that I found. Oh well, onward and upward!
