What is the connection?!? :?
I'm stumped. Any hints would be nice.

Dosen't that really make you sad?

Mr.Onion
10-28-2005, 09:32 AM
What does?

Deciple_of_Dumb

I think the answer might have to do something with "sad", but none of those pictures are sad, and I've tried every word related to sad that I can think of and they aren't answers!

Well, look up some more by clicking here. (http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=sad)

I got it, but I don't see how the answer is right. o_o

Think of a single word that describes each picture, then put it in front of the answer. You will then have a legitimate "variation" of the answer on its own (can't be more specific without giving away the whole thing).

Yes, but the solution that *worked* for me doesn't work with two of the images.

Anonymous

*hint* background is an image too

the baby doesn't seem to fit but for the eggs think of kinds of birds

I think the baby is suposed to be a little boy.

Anonymous
11-15-2005, 10:04 AM
yeah i think you are right... thats what i was thinking but it didn't click

Jamul
11-15-2005, 11:10 AM
It is actually supposed to be a baby... A little boy could help you get to the answer, but it doesn't TRULY fit the pattern, while a baby does. It does however have the appearance of fitting the pattern equally well, if that makes any sense.

So I do recommend using either (use both!), but the more advanced puzzle for you then would be: why doesn't "little boy" work *exactly*, and "baby" does?

this one was easy....ok, what is the background pic? and what to ppl think of when they c teh background.................

Umm... sky? storm? rain? I still don't get it.

11-15-2005, 03:11 PM
i hope without giving too much away... there are 5 phrases created when you put the answer after to the hints in the picture. these phrases are all related to each other and to the answer in the same way.

Ooh I just got it! That was so easy! And yet so hard.

AtkinsSJ

I never got it like that. I just thought about the word 'sad' and it clicked.

Jamul, you seem to be an expert at creating multiple-method puzzles!

It was the baby boy that stumped me, but it has to do with it, in some sort of way...

Maybe listening to some "sad" music would help....
Or istead of looking at the pictures for what they represent, look at most of them for how they look.

i got it .. it clicked when i saw the background

Okay, I have a hint for you all.

The main clue is the backround pic..also, you >could< get it from the boat pic. The other pics will probably just through you off.

Bob Dylan?

Got it straight away.

neojester12
04-26-2006, 05:05 PM
Wow.

I get the answer, but it didn't make ANY sense

Hint: Woozy's hint is really important

my main hint is that the boat picture, dont think of it as boat/boats. it is a fleet of boats, that belong to a certain organisation. (didnt want to give too much away)

also there are 6 clues to this puzzle, never exclude the title

starwarsrfreakbh

It's hard to give hints without giving too much away...

If you were to draw a picture of a sad face, what would you most likely include?

susan3001
04-28-2006, 08:16 PM
I agree with Neojester. I got it, but still don't see the relation to the pictures! :? [spoiler yoink]

Sorry! I guess that last one was too much of a hint.

Wow, the title and the background helped, but I still have no idea how image 2 and 3 fit in. Ah well.

I solved it yesterday. My lil sis walks in and out of no where comes up with the answer. It took her all of two seconds. But we still dont know how the baby tied into it, but a hint: the background is and image also.

Kind of a dumb puzzle. Got it in like 2 seconds but not as good as some of the other fine Dumb games

Think of the images as adjectives. Then think of a noun they all can describe.

Sorry if this is considered too much of a bump, but since there is supposed to be only one thread per puzzle, the date of the topic dosn't really matter.

think of jazz music. That's how I got it, it just clicked!

matt770
03-16-2007, 04:29 PM
the answer clicked immidiatly for me although the baby almost threw me off. If you cant get this try ignoring the baby, its not quite as obvious.

historyfreak
08-27-2007, 12:00 PM
Without a doubt, the title is the largest hint. I got it on my first guess :) If you think you know the answer, then everything should click...the baby isn't necessary in finding the answer though.:???:

BTW-all pictures except for the baby will help ya out

*Puzzle solved*

BIG HINT: You're seeing it even as you look through the threads in this forum...and yes, ignore the baby.

How strange...when I looked at the background, I felt sad...and then I typed IT, and then...good Zinglon...I can't understand why the sky makes me feel so sad. It just happened. I don't know why.

I thought I'd never get it (Puzzle Solved)

this helped me to the answer. (http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=sad) (link also found on the first page of this topic)

As soon as I went there, my next guess was right!

Wholey cow! :D

Indeed it's simple! I hate it for that fact! ;)

I kept thinking in abstract terms, but that really won't get you anywhere.

(The boats reminded me of a mother duck and her young, but that didn't help!)

Some hints:

- Music genre

- The baby's EYES might work, but other than that you can ignore him, and probably the flower too.

As soon as I went there, my next guess was right!

Some hints:

These are all helpful hints. What do the pictures have in common?

Max
01-14-2009, 06:12 AM
What? Does it have something to do with tears
I don't see any similarity between the pictures
I tried nearly all the synonyms of sad and none of them worked

SpaceManiac
01-14-2009, 06:20 AM
Think of a word that often means sad. What do the pictures all have in common? What is the one common element? Think more abstractly.

Water? It didn't work any other hints?

SpaceManiac

You're getting close - VERY close. What's in common between water and the sky?

If you put the answer after the word baby you get something that might mean something

chaucer
05-27-2009, 05:40 PM
Think of it this way:
Baby ______
Sky ______
Ocean _____

Now, fill in the blank with the same word for each one. As for the eggs, think birds. But what kind of bird? I'm not sure about the flower, but this should be helpful.

DJMinkus

The flower is not purple, even though it looks like it to me.
