I've experienced this problem too. I think we need an answer from the head marshmallow himself.

I agree. I always pay attention to the posts with the ninja, and now it's death.
Speaking of death, I just went on the death clock website for the first time.

So back ON topic, I don't know what to tell you guys. I think you either need new video drivers, or it may just not work with your video card. You can visit http://hamumu.com/opengl.php and see if that gets you any closer to playing it. That's about the extent of my knowledge of the problem.

I think I tried downloading it before, but when I went to install it, something was muddled up...

The answer to any question is Google.
This page looks good: http://nodevice.com/STB/2/111/STB_p1.html
But watch out, installing new video drivers can be a scary mess. Especially for what sounds to me like a defunct video card.
Oh, that page appears to be trying to ask for money to download it. This one should be better: http://driverscollection.com/?H=STB%20VELOCITY%20128&By=STB
But from what I can tell, the company that made the card is long-defunct, so you are running a risk installing new drivers, they may not be as functional as what you have now. I know XP can do some kind of rollback to fix problems, but I've never dealt with that, so I cannot advise anything about it. It's also VERY likely that your card simply won't run the game. It sounds like a horrifically old card from what I can gather, and it may not have enough memory.

I have a windows '98, and won't be getting XP for a while. Just because I don't want to risk downgrading anything, I'll just stick to what I have. Thanks for the info though, I might have accidentally installed a really crappy driver and screwed up the computer.
