Moving? Like when you press buttons? Or just moving in random directions?

To make an object move ina random direction, use the 'Start moving in a direction' action:

Here I have selected all the outer directions, so the object could go in any of them; just select the ones you want, so if you want the object to go left or right, just select the buttons with the arrows pointing in those directions.
Then pick any number in the box for how fast you want the object to go. Even a speed of 4 is reasonable, but it's best to test out a few speeds until you're happy.

If you meant something else, try to be more specific. I'm just guessing that this is what you want.

I didn't know you can select several directions.

PS: Oo, not XP.

I know. You can hear the cogs grinding inside my PC, and see the puffs of steam coming from the exhaust...

Having XP wont change anything: the middle butten means stopped.

I suggest you use the included help file and the tutorials on the Game Maker website if you want to learn it. It would be a lot more effective for starting you off.
