I haven't solved it, but I've been working off the assumption that they're looking for a specific type of writing paper that would have been used in that person's day. I have a pretty good idea of who the person is, but if my assumption is wrong I'm going down the wrong track. Anyone want to correct or confirm my logic on this one?

When you say 'technical terms', do you mean something like....

Programming = Computer Science?

Stuff like that?

I think they mean stuff like 'psychologist' or 'biologist' or something else that ends with 'ist'.

Ok, I have found all the Proper Names for the studies, and I decoded the message (Is it suppose to be a bout a certain painting?)

And then I searched for that painting and typed in what it was painted on and it was wrong. :?

HELP PLEASE! PM me!

I found typing the message result into Wikipedia to be useful.

The answer is laid out above - just a little research needed...

How do you know fi the "proper names" are correct? Like, I would group both stars and moon under astrology. Is bees grouped under entomology or does it have to be specifically hyperfacia entemology?

You need to be more specific in your studies. There are a lot of much more specialized degrees than the ones you listed.

Wikipedia was very useful for this one; it's very unlikely that anyone would know the proper name for all of those studies.

is ancient civilations an ology or just an y?? i might have the name for that wrong... but basically i got all the ologies and still could make neiter heads nor tails from it... do we have to get rid of the ology's from the end to make sense of it maybe? i tried that too but still no luck, maybe i had them wrong... could someone tell me if im heading in the right direction!!

The majority of the information that you get (the ology words) is unneeded. Only one piece of the word, combined with other pieces, is what you're looking for.

.... Don't know if that will help <3

yes u r looking for "ologies" hence the name of the puzzle "APOLOGIES"... i think :P !
but you have to understand that only helps you to find what you need for the next step! and i gave the "ologies" hint so that you would only have to look in one place, don't read more into it!

Ok... I decoded the message. I enter it in to google, wikipedia etc. but can't seem to get anything. I've double checked my ologies and i think they are all right. I'm about to lose monal mind. Any tip on what to do with the decoded message to make it make sense would be apreaciated.

This puzzle is fairly simple in essence, it just requires some hard work finding the proper names for the study of whatever.

Also, even if you have got a couple of names wrong, you should be able to work out what the message is, then just type that into wikipedia!

It pays to remember that the answer is always one word long.
