I'm usually pretty good with codes, but this makes no sense. If you stare hard enough it has a tempo to it, but that's all. Any help please.

I have tried numerous codes to no avail - does the background pic hold relevance? Tried skip, railfence, RO13 and many others.....

The picture does have relevance. I figured it out without seeing the connection, but once I got it, the connection was clear.

Can someone give me more help on this one? I think I know what code was used with the wires in the background but I can not relate it to the text. Any help with what code or a starting point would be appreciated.

The hint about the tempo is about as far as I can go without giving away too much info...

1) The title is very very useful in identifying the code, in addition to the picture

2) Frequency analysis may help to know how to apply said code.

Once there, the puzzles works like 90% of the rest of the puzzles.

Errrg. This one is driving m INSANE and nothing on this thread is helping. It's so annoying how all people do on these "hint" threads is say that they got it and say junk that has nothing to relate with the puzzle. Then of corse, there's the other annoying person who gives away nothing then says "I can't give away anything else without giving away to much info." Errrrrg!! :evil:

Woozy, sorry, can't help it... This one is too obvious with very few hints.

Try learning about the different codes used in the 20th century... might help a bit.

With all these people yelling out SOS perhaps another hint or two is in order.
It would be really nice if for the title you found an easy rangama.
Length is also nice, entire sentences could mean less than you think.
I'd hate to be too redundant like the end of the puzzle though...

I know what code I'm supposed to be using, but I have no clue how to apply frequency analysis. Could someone throw me a lifesaver here...drowning ever so quickly in this one.

The long and short of it, sometimes the whole is better than the sum of it's parts.

A little hint: look at the words before you start to apply the code. Maybe you can find some common criteria or something :)

It's a double decoding, in a sense. You will need to apply two ciphers, but the first one is a little different than the typical cipher... If you know the second one (the "code"), think about its properties for a bit. Then think about the properties of the words, as suggested above.

You will see that the title is a significant hint to solving the puzzle, of course. If you stare at it for long enough, you'll probably fall hard on your back laughing that you didn't see it earlier.

As for the first step, well... The message you'll end up with is going to be quite a bit shorter than what you see in the picture right now. How can you reduce all those word-like things into a form you can read? And could the punctuation be possibly any hint to you?
