in fact this riddle isnt very hard, so i know what "sign" is mentioned. so i tried many different synonyms, but nothing worked. maybe its because english isnt my mothers tongue, but i am sure the spelling is correct. so i need help.

You don't need to know the word for the symbol (in fact I don't even know what it's called). Just placing the correct symbol in the answer will be enough.

i tried this, but i have a german keyboard. i think because of this the riddle doesnt take my answer for correct, so could anybody tell me, how i can to this sign with a american keyboard ?

You shouldn't need to use anything other than the alphabet or numbers to solve any puzzles here, or at least I haven't had to so far. So you should be able to get the answer even with a German keyboard.

Yes, all answers use only the 26 letters of the English alphabet and the 10 digits that you probably are quite familiar with. No other key is ever required, or even accepted.
(uppercase and lowercase don't matter)
