Why are the easy ones so hard? I don't really get this puzzle. I've tried making it a crude math problem but that's a no-go. Any hints?

It's interesting how the human eye perceives printed data. Don't read too much into this one. No math, or anything like that needed. Sometimes folks have trouble reading between the lines.

A bit like a scene from the movie "Patch Adams". The lead character meets a so-called "mad scientist" in a hospital and was told by the scientist to "look in between the lines".

What do u mean by "read Between the lines"?
