Default Level Quality

I've been noticing a quite steep decline in the quality of levels, and I would like for people to know.

If you make levels to annoy others, or make bad levels because there are lots of other bad levels, expect low ratings. No, this is not against hard levels (like Black Knight Brawl), this is against low quality levels made for reasons other than to give us fun or a challenge.

Please, if you have a bad level, and you know it, keep it in the editor. Thanks.

EDIT: Obviously, no one cares. No one seems to have noticed this and still more low quality levels are being cranked out. I give up.

I assume you are talking about Pokomon levels. If that's the case, then you are wrong, and those levels are not created to annoy others. Still, a lot of people downrate them just because they are "Pokomon = "annoyseries" = stupid = bad" Levels, which is not true, as the Pokomon team has spent a lot of time creating them. If you have other reasons to downrate Pokomon levels, feel free to tell me.

^They're not so much levels as art. They're good art, but that doesn't make them fun to play.

I have rated them all 1 or 2, because as levels, they aren't any fun. They just have you walk a little ways, jump once or twice, and you're done. You know how to make interesting levels, why not do it even if the level is built around a piece of art? Costume Party is a game, not an art gallery.

I don't mind art levels (although I don't necessarily like them as much as real levels), but the problem with them is the actual gameplay itself that you have to go through in the level, which normally isn't that good. Also, when you write it "pokomon" instead of "pokemon" on purpose, you'd think you would have seen this coming.

Indeed, lack of gameplay is a good reason, and I will try to improve it. But, the series is called Pokomon, because Pokemon is a registered trademark, and we don't want to use it anywhere, and bad ratings coming because of a level name just proves how flawed the rating system is, and you are right, I should see have seen it coming. Not because I used the word Pokomon, not because I put art instead of gameplay, but because I created a level. "Level quality" has not decreased, What has decreased is the average rating people give to levels, because they want theirs to be on top, without realising that others will also do the same thing to them, and the result of all this, is CP being filled with bad-rated levels, no matter how good they are.

At no point in time did I day the Pokomon series was the culprit. Infact, you'd think after me making the CP art thread, that I would LIKE them. It's infact levels like Kaizio and Boboil and Ideasteal (unfortunatly). This was a late retaliation, but it was what I meant. I don't want to see levels like 'Boboil' in the name, or Kaizio, or the like. K?

I agree. Unfortunately, nobody seems to care about the ratings.

A note to all CP level builders: Please don't put in tons of snowballs to make the level lag. It's very annoying.

I admit I've made a couple of levels that are picturey (eg, the mudkip one) but I did try to make them actually playable. Though I'm not very good at doing that.

The same with me, and I guess I'll stop making picturey levels for awhile... back to regular levels!
