What's worse
Mulit-accounters - These kind of people use multiple accounts.
Impossible-Makers - People that make impossible puzzles in MOL. Mulit-Gamers - People that play their game and tab back to another game.

Alt accounts on forums that don't specifically prohibit it are a very useful tool. You can sway polls, misrepresent the percentage of people who hold controversial opinions, and respond with more weight when deemed necessary to drive a point home. When moderators are prevented from divulging moderator-only information (i.e. the number of accounts belonging to the same IP,) there would be little way of knowing just who is a sockpuppet. You may be wondering just what kind of forum would be so poorly managed as to allow this sort of disruptive behavior. You would be surprised at which big-name forums don't care.
