The MythBusters proved that when buttering toast, It usually lands Butter-Side Up!

And Cats don't always land on their feet (remembers when my cat fell off the stair ledge and bounced back first down the stairs!)

Cats actually are much better off falling from a great height than a small one. Because if they're high enough, they have time to get the right way up, which gives them a low terminal velocity, and they land safely.

Ah yes, but Murphy's law states, when you're going to EAT the toast, it will land butter side down. Murphy's law just didn't go into effect for the Mythbusters, because they were specifically looking for proof whether or not it exists.

In fact, Murphy's law would actually cause the toast to land butter side up when people wanted it to land the other way on that episode.
