So here I was thinking I could stick NPC Quest on my old laptop for highly portable gnome-smashing action. However, it really doesn't like my display settings or something. Whenever I try to start it, it blacks out the screen and then returns to the desktop rapidly about 5 times, then starts in a tiny little window that's only a fraction of what it should be, even though I didn't ask it to run windowed. When I move the sword pointer around in the (limited) window, it works okay but the sword has a bright purple square around it.
Of course, it could be that I'm running Windows 95 on an LCD screen with a maximum of 800x600 at 256 colors. *sheepish grin* |

The game runs in 16-bit color, so it's absolutely amazing it's running at all! You should just be pleased and dance around.
