Hmmm. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, Microsoft are evil, and must be stopped. But on the other, penalising someone for giving-away free stuff with their OS goes against a lot of the principles of GNU and stuff. If they have to include other browsers with Windows, won't everyone else have to include IE? Or will Linux and things have to only ship with an empty OS?

It's more like Microsoft is making it so that you cannot choose to use another browser for Windows... or something...
Meh... it's a grey area; I think they're saying it's just that Microsoft is forcing people to use IE... |

*Wonders what internet browser people would use to download Firefox or something else if Microsoft didn't include IE or any other browser (I assume they wouldn't include anything else) with their OS.*

Uhhh.... Have IE in the installation program and let you download your own programs to pre-install? Actually, that would be pretty cool!

No it's: How many IE users does it take to screw in a light bulb?
-None, someone already changed it for you via a security hole. Last edited by pizza; 12-17-2007 at 12:15 PM. |

3! One to program the original, one to fix a glitch that makes your computer asplode, and one to bypass the IE "security" filter and change it!

Actually, Internet Explorer isn't as bad as most people make it to be. It does have an unnatural tendency to crash on YouTube sometimes (or, to be more generic, any site that uses too many Flash applets), and it is a memory and CPU hog, but it can run Java applets without freezing.

I'm not sure you can summon anthropomorphic personifications to a law court, even in America.
