Do you think my mafia game (War Mafia) should be conventional, or more original and different?

I suggest that you stick with a normal game if it's your first one and try more complex things when you have more experience.

Everybody always wants to host the most amazing new stuff game, but the fact is that it is extremely difficult to balance such a game and it is a very bad idea to try it on your first game. Try a normal game or two first and do it well. With a good reputation for hosting, people will forgive you for an experiment that goes awry later. Overdo it and botch your very first game and nobody will want to sign up for another you host later.

That, actually, looks SOLID. You should be careful, and make sure it's good by checking with experienced hosts. But you have a good idea. Either store it for your second game, or use it now.

Actually, Sillyman, he has only shown us a picture of a gameboard and has not said anything at all about what he intends to do with it. It is impossible to say whether his idea is SOLID or not, from the information presented.

From the information presented, it doesn't look much like mafia at all to me. Though I don't know.

I actually had an idea similar to that for one of my mafia games, but I recently scrapped it, as I wouldn't have been able to run it properly. I can't convince you to do something simpler, but if you still want to do this, make sure you are ready.
