Angst! Rage! Graphics Card!

You know what is extremely stupid? I recently downloaded the latest Forceware drivers thinking it would be the best thing for my on-board Nvidia Geforce 6150 SE and then fullscreen applications like Civ 4 wouldn't work and translucent windows were disabled. After I rolled back the driver, I found I couldn't start Firefox without a message popping up saying "Driver Components Mis-Match. Exit is the only option". So, what? Does Microsoft even know how to rollback drivers? How the heck did it not stop using all the previous driver files!? I'm going to have to find a compatible graphics driver for this computer in Internet Explorer now!

EDIT: NO! The Nvidia site will not work anymore! What the heck is going on!? At this rate, I'll be nuking my hard-drive like /them/!
EDIT 1: Out of pure vengance, I am going to start organized cri- I mean beg my parents for money and buy a Radeon HD 3650. They have one on Newegg for less than 60 dollars.

Also, you probably didn't install the graphics driver right. Did you go into safe mode?

What? It was a simple install program. I downloaded the latest forceware drivers so that I could supposedly speed up my graphics card, found out it wouldn't work, did a rollback, it didn't work. Now I'm downloading the driver Windows reccommends: The Nforce drivers or something like that.

Well, at least it's more straightforward than Linux or whatever. At least it's more game-compatible than Mac. At least it's prettier than XP. I'll uninstall the drivers, then. I only thought you would just have to use different drivers... I didn't know it could cause a conflict.

EDIT: I'm not going to mess around with the drivers. I just deleted the device and let the devil sort it all out. Now I have Aero again!
EDIT 2: Oh, I have to update my sig now.

Yeah. There's a Civ 4. A new feature I think is that you get to pick your religion. A religion increases the happiness of the people. Also, there are obviously gonna be new graphics. Anways, on topic, my graphics card works fine now and I am playing Oblivion at 8 FPS! Yay! I seriously need that Radeon...

Also, instead of specific government types, you have "Civs", 5 individual policy bits each with 5 options, which when combined can make effects similar to the governments in the other Civilization games.
