Does anyone here have Multiple Personality Disorder? I have quite a few symptoms of it, but one of my personalities is way more dominate.

Probably a pretty personal question, so I don't really care if you answer, but I'm Just Wonderin', hence the title.

So yah, discuss MPD even if you don't have it.

Are you sure it's not something else? I think Multiple Personality Disorder is when half of you takes control, does something, and when the other half regains control, you have a gap in your memory, and you don't remember what the "other" person did. This has to happen pretty regularly to actually be considered Multiple Personality Disorder...

Um, no. And like I said, I only show quite a few symptoms- I'm not actually diagnosed.

But Multiple Personality Disorder is ussually when you have, well, multiple personalities. The thing is, what most people don't realize, is that you actually hear two different voices in your head. It can be very confusing sometimes. Anyways, there's no memory loss involved, as far as I know, one voice simply manages to be heard over the other, and in many cases, especially severe ones, your personalities can be so different, you're like a different person. This is especially true in the case of Bi-polar disorder- Your two different personalities are complete and utter opposites of each other.

Nah, im not nuts. My family just has a line of mental diseases.

My papa(My grandpa) has so many its NOT FUNNY. He acts like a child sometimes, and my gramma has to tell him not to tease my cousins. Seriously. He also is a skitz. he had this one personality where i wanted to KILL MY MOM. Crazy huh/

I have found most people quickly get uncomfortable talking about mental illness, and try to mask their discomfort with humour, especially cruel humour. Unconsciously people with mental illnesses are treated as a threat, even if they have harmless disorders (that is, harmless to others, though obviously not to themselves) like depression. It's very sad, really.

Here, that's called schizophrenia! Also, I'm highly likely to have OCD. But no biggie! It's not super OCD, just minor.

I have major OCD. whenever I'm playing cards, I always have to align the pile so that it is just right. People can become very annoyed at me. XD

Anyway, maybe on-topic, does being able to talk to characters you invented yourself (and have them reply) count as having multiple personalities in some way? Just wondering. Besides that, I don't have uncontrollable voices in my head or anything, so I don't think I have MPD. I find the topic quite interesting, though.

As far as I'm concerned, what Wesley described was Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder); what Connor described was closer to schizophrenia.
Or, of course, it could just be part of growing up.
