If Jamul made a simple, 1$ expansion set that allows for one extra screen in every level, with a maximum of 8 total, Jamul could be making tons of money with a small amount of coding.
If the player falls off the screen in the neccessary direction, everything in the other screen pauses (except timers), and the Player moves to a different screen. Objects that fall off the screen will only continue falling once the player is on that screen. Same goes for electricity. |

What if there are 2 players and only one falls? You wouldn't be able to see the other player.
Jamul could make the rooms bigger but then again, it would either have to make things smaller or to make the window bigger (Which could cause trouble with computers with 600*800 resolutions. |

There's another problem: Database space is not free. A level that has more than one screenfull of stuff will take up extra DB space, and means that the actual game has a lot more code to decide exactly how much to load.
