4 entries this time around.
The theme for this Dumb Dare was "Puzzling Puzzlers" in tribute to Portal 2, which is set to be released this year. Contestants were asked to create some type of puzzle game. While you play the games, play with the following categories in mind: Puzzle Creativity (self-explanitory) Visuals (If I have to explain this, I've already lost you) Difficulty (NOT meaning too hard. Meaning more that the puzzles progressivly get harder, but aren't too easy or too hard.) Puzzle Gameplay (How fun the puzzles are to play) PLAY ALL ENTRIES BEFORE YOU VOTE. So that nobody votes for a game just because they like a particular user, I am only providing the game names and a link to the game. The game's creator will not be revealed until AFTER voting has ended. Here are the entries: Portal 2-D http://www.mediafire.com/?jmtmywcgmzm Sock Game (I'm too lazy to go look up the real title) http://www.mediafire.com/?zxxwzzncxtq Clay Digger http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5FT4VEQW Block Shifter http://www.mediafire.com/?jnkmy2gam2y

there is a bug in the portal 2d game where you can jump in mid air as many times as you want. it had alot of problems with jumping and walls.
the sock game seems to have had almost everything copied from a very old game called chip's challenge. it looks and plays identically to it. the clay digger game has its problems, mainly the red smileys getting stuck, but it was an enjoyable game with a unique concept. while the graphics in block shifter are dull, deserted, and lifeless, the puzzles are difficult and seem to have alot of work put into them, it was fun until i got stuck on a level and gave up. tough choice between block shifter and clay digger. my vote goes for block shifter. The point of Dumb Dares is to PROGRAM a computer game. If the crossword was an actual interactive game, instead of just an image, it would have been accepted. As it was, it was simply an image that used no programming/game development knowledege and therefore is not a valid entry.

Portal 2D is really buggy and didn't really seem like a good game. There were many bugs, bad graphics, hardly any sound and very pointless levels. Not my idea of a "good game".
Block Shifter is good, there's just no sound and music. Simple. The Sock Game is just WOW. I played it and it was fun. This game is great!

It wasn't said anywhere that it had to be a programmed interactive game.

The fact that DD is for programming games is kinda a given, besides, the crossword puzzle was a joke entry anyways right? so why the fuss.

I'll send out the ribbons as soon as those are made, and I'll send out YBs once I have the chance to play hyperme's game (as my laptop still refuses to open it). Our desktop is being fixed, and should be back up sometime this week, so once it's back, I'll defiately be able to test hyperme's game.
