I just got an award.

Yeah, it turns out i am one of the top 30 mathematicians in New Zealand for my age! And i thought i only did averagely in the test it was rated on! And now i am really happy. I get a cash prize and will likely find my exact score on Wednesday. YAY!

Very impressive. I'm curious as to how you can test mathematical ability, though. What sorts of questions were on it?

Aus Math Comp?

I did that, but I just fooled around. I know I got a place in the informatics test though, and that I should be getting mine next assembly. Don't know about the rest.

For those not aware, these are Australasian Specific Intellect Tests, not called ASIT because that's not their actual name, just the best way to explain it.

And informatics is computer style thinking. Don't ask, I don't know either...
