Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. So, since 2011, I have spent the entire month of October every year reviewing a horror movie each day. I've changed formats many times over the years, and in the past few years, I've even been joined by my wife Solee, as well as the occasional guest. We've got text, drawings, video reviews, audio reviews... we got it all! Wanna check out our reviews? Look below, or use the menu to the left to dig deeper!
Time to check out another Rob Zombie film! "The Lords of Salem" (2013) is about a bunch of witches, but the scary part is that it's also about morning talk radio DJs. SHUDDER.
We step in the wayback machine today to visit "Targets" (1968), the story of what happens when a psychotic sniper crosses paths with a retiring horror film star. It's the original odd couple!
"The Endless" (2018) ... well, I could make jokes based on the premise, but why spoil something amazing? It's about two guys who go back to visit the cult that they escaped from in their youth. A must-watch. For real, even if you don't like scary movies (this is not very scary), and even if you watch nothing else we do this month, don't miss The Endless! And watch before listening, of course!
Pro-tip: If the flight number is 666, just pick a different flight. It's not gonna go well. And it doesn't, in "Flight 666" (2018), as our poor passengers are assailed by ghosts and bad acting.
Our first zombie film for the month is "Life After Beth" (2014). Can our hero get over his girlfriend's death? Is that easier or harder if she comes back? You probably know the answer.
We watched the original 1982 version, so now we follow up with "The Thing" (2011)! How does it compare? Find out by jamming some earbuds in your ears and cranking us up!
Just to be clear, "Tag" (2015) is NOT the hilarious comedy about a group of men who've played a single game of Tag for years on end (That's "Tag" (2018)!). Nope, this Japanese film is... not that. Definitely. Hope you're a fan of both gore and confusion.
Just an early warning about "The Open House" (2018): Feel free to listen to our podcast (because we're fun!), but DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. Find out why not by listening!
We never saw the original, but we sure did watch "Halloween" (2018) to share with you! Watch the final(?) confrontation between Michael Myers and the one that got away, with us! This podcast has an amazing ending you will not believe, seriously.
